The food is just terrible. I don't know how else to say it. I'll conceived and poorly prepared. The waiter was gracious and understanding and didn't charge for the salmon entrée and pesto pasta entrée - both of which were inedible. How you could mess up either of these simple dishes I can't imagine. Any home cook could do better. Add insult to injury with 'special occasion' level pricing (in what is a neighborhood staple atmosphere). It's so disappointing and unacceptable. There are so many talented chefs who could turn this into the gem it deserves to be. Maybe they won't pay what a good chef deserves or they're impossible to work with and can't keep a good chef.

Amazing dinner. Wonderful indoor & outdoor dining space. (We sat outside). Started with the cheese plate, enjoyed the fish. The Brussel spouts were the perfect crispy
Solid neighborhood joint
Dining with friends at il Casale was splendid and the food delicious. I opted for a salad and asked for a side order of the, Tufoli Al Pomodoro. Yes, we can do that. It was a perfect meal combo!!

We were a group of about 12 at 6 pm on a Tuesday for a retirement party. They accommodated us nicely and attentively amid thier usual business. Food was fantastic. It was a wonderful time.

Drinks and apps at the bar! Another great experience there… Calamari was a bit tough
One of the best options over a large radius in this part of suburbia without a doubt. Unfortunately that's not saying much vs city options in greater Boston.
We were told they ran out of bread to have with our red sauce dishes, but then brought plenty to new patrons. And the food did not rate as I had generously graded in the past
We'll make the drive into town next time.
Attentive waitstaff. Food mixed - some superior, some disappointments. Noisy. Pricey.
The food was ambitiously priced for what turned out to be a remarkably forgettable meal (or unforgettable, if you will, due to how bad it was). The food was both overpriced and underwhelming—which is a tough combo to pull off. We’re totally fine with paying more for a solid meal, or having something just okay if the price makes sense. Cold Tagliatelle Bolognese for $31 is a tough sell. The meat was cold too, not just the pasta. Ww counted 4 shrimps in total for our $31 Fusilli ai Gamberi.
We didn’t even get through half our plates. We felt bad when the waiter came asking how was the food so we packed it home. We tried to eat it the second day but just can't because it was that bad.
There’s also a 4% “kitchen fee,” which seems like a way to pass kitchen wages to the customer. And when you pay, the default 20% tip option is calculated after adding that kitchen fee and tax. Not a huge deal on its own, but after the meal we had, it just added to the “what is going on here” feeling.
Honestly, this was probably the most disappointing meal we’ve had in the past year. We’re only six minutes drive away, but we won’t be coming back. Posting this in hopes it helps others make a more informed decision—the Google rating feels generous. (Yelp’s 3.6 might be closer to reality.)

Terrible service. Informed server of my onion allergy up front. Ordered one of the specials. Was told “that dish doesn’t have onions”. Dish comes out literally covered in onions. Server informs me that the sauce has onions too. Waste of my time.
I think this restaurant has its identity confused. The service and food is nowhere near on par with the prices you pay. Bland, uninspired food and servers from McDonald's. Not to mention a 4.25% Kitchen Appreciation Fee when I did not appreciate what the kitchen put out. Won't be coming back here. There's tons of better Italian options around.
