The good is that the space is intimate and quiet. The bad is that many of the dishes were good but not very interesting. There were a few exceptional ones but many were not amazing. For the price I expect to be amazed with every bite.

Absolutely worth the money. Finally there’s a truly authentic omakase in Boston. A much-needed addition to the city’s dining scene.

I was lucky enough to be able to host a private event with 311 for my birthday and they exceeded my expectations! Chef was able to create an incredible menu with a diversity of dishes and flavors. We were also fully enveloped in an extremely high level of service. The attention to detail on plating, quality of the bites and table management were unmatched. Having dinner here is an experience not to be missed!

An incredible unique and wonderful experience that brings us close to our experience in Japan! The service was top notch, and the food was absolutely fresh and incredible! Every dish was crafted with care. If you love Japanese omakase, this is the place to go! This place is also very intimate in a wonderful way, so perfect for a date night!

At 311 you will find a wonderful menu created by truly thoughtful people. I always leave my phone at home when I go out for such an intentional experience so I can focus on the food and the decisions made. The mini tasting followed by a traditional omakase was the perfect format for showcasing their creativity and their high level of execution. I definitely need more shiso flowers in my life.

We had one of the best sushi experiences we’ve ever had at Boston Three One 1 (311). Although set downstairs in an historic Tremont brownstone, once inside your felt like a traditional old style, minimalist Tokyo sushi restaurant. The Omakase servings were well considered and served with precision; all tasted fresh, elegant and with perfect structure.

Our favorites were the Tai Truffle Sea Bream appetizer, then Golden Eye Snapper and Strip Jack sushi’s. We did not have a single bad item from the 18 servings. The sake pairings were perfect.

The service was excellent: attentive, informative and respectful.

It was a wonderful evening.

Visited from Japan and enjoyed the beautifully prepared omakase. The ingredients were very fresh and the presentation was excellent. However, the atmosphere was a little noisy due to some loud customers, which made it hard to fully enjoy the experience. I hope the staff can manage the noise level better in the future. Overall, the food and service were wonderful.

Outstanding service. A true neighborhood gem, that would stack up with any of the worlds best omakase restaurants. The toro is in the best things that’s ever been in my mouth, chef flies in the ingredients from Japan every second day. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Great sake selection also.

My partner and I are true foodies—whether in New York, London, or Tokyo, we always follow Michelin recommendations and top reviews in search of unforgettable meals. This omakase spot is, without a doubt, the most stunning culinary experience we’ve had in the Boston area. The reason is simple: the chef here truly loves food. You can see it in his careful selection of ingredients, his meticulous preparation, and the attention he pays to every detail for his guests. He doesn’t speak much, but his dedication and craftsmanship are fully expressed through his work. This is already our third visit, and each time has been a delightful surprise. Every time the final course is served, we feel a bit of sorrow that yet another culinary feast has come to an end.

Absolutely amazing and the best sushi restaurant in Boston by a long shot. Easily two, maybe even three Michelin star quality.
