Aquitaine once again created a perfect evening out for us! Pace was relaxed, food and service were outstanding, and we left much happier than we arrived. Recommend!
A longstanding staple of the south end that was quite unique in its inception, but now unfortunately is a bit tired, overpriced and grossly mediocre in the french brasserie category. Service was very pleasant, but the food was over prepared with a kitchen sink of ingredients which made everything taste muddled. Definitely not fresh and I strongly suspect the base of sauces and soups are not made from scratch. At these prices, they should be made in-house. Definitely a must skip

had a wonderful brunch - great food, exceptional service, love this restaurant - my only critique is price - while you expect to spend money at a place like this, for brunch-fare, with none of us having alcohol with our meal... our meal was over $50/person (including tip), with no apps/1 dessert between 4 of us. Again, not a huge surprise - but does seem high for brunch without alcohol.
They needed more wait staff last night. While the food was excellent, for a bar that is going to serve cocktails, a recommendation for the future would be to stock King cubes for whiskey.
We had such a beautiful time. The food was truly exquisite. Our waitress was the sweetest person and took great care of us.
We went for Saturday brunch at 1pm- standard French options as well as the usual breakfast items available. We ordered the burger (it had only cooked onions, meat and a very tasty soft french onion roll) and French onion soup, along with their bread pudding (really nice, had a good crust on it for texture) and classic French mousse (it was fabulous)- all of it was delicious.
4 stars because both of their bathrooms had no toilet paper and they had facial tissues on a chair for their patrons to use- not ok, I feel like someone on their staff should've managed their bathrooms more adequately on a busy Saturday afternoon.

Literally everything here was amazing! The service was fantastic and really elevated the whole visit.
Duck confit salad was amazing and hit the spot. The pear and beets complimented the duck perfectly. The service was also top notch. Great ambience without feeling stuffy. We will definitely be back.

A couple of days ago I visited Aquitaine, this is the perfect place to have the best escargot in Boston. Alejandra was our waitress; she was very sweet and gave us many recommendations from the menu, and honestly, everything was delicious. The service was incredible, and we can't wait to go back.

So fabulous — perfect for a date or with friends / family. The atmosphere was absolutely on point — dim light, comfy seating, incredible drinks and a menu that makes you want to try everything. I will be back!!

The ambiance at Aquitaine is obviously beautiful but what really stands out is the quality of service. From the host stand to the servers. I am amazed every single time. I ate here early Friday evening with my young daughter and her friend and the staff went all out for them. This restaurant has long been my favorite for a reason. Keep up the great work. Thank you!!
The food was amazing and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. However that was the longest I have ever been in a restaurant everything was extremely slow.

We LOVED this place. Reminded of us of our dining experiences in Paris. The ambience is quiet sophistication and the food authentic and delicious! It was our twin girls' birthday (28 years old) and it was just what they wanted. Will go back time and again for those special times.
Its a nice restaurant, with a good menu and good service. I have been going for years. But the portions were ridiculous for the price! The potato that came with my fish was 5 times the size of the little fish. The duck ravioli was yummy, but there were 8 pieces for $38! Its not hard to add enough for people to eat. Everything was tasty but really, why should anyone not have enough to eat at the prices you sell the food for?
