The noise level was out of control. I felt rushed. Apps and salad served at the same time. Calamari was awful. Meatballs delicious. Bolognese was good flavor except the pasta mushy. Chicken parm nit do good. The server was social. For the price there is better
Arya is a GEM, the owner and staff are phenomenal and wonderful people. The menu is FANTASTIC. I booked a reservation for 6 on a Saturday night for a special occasion. I am a total moron and somehow thought it was for 6:30 - showed up and obviously the table was no longer available. Met Mossimo and explained it was our fault, and in particular MY dummy mistake. He was so kind and found us seating, the staff was incredible, the food was amazing, and this place has loyal customers for life. Could not recommend more strongly and emphatically!
We enjoyed a wonderful meal. The ambiance was spectacular, as we were seated at a window table looking out upon Hanover Street. Would recommend
Great experience! Amazing meatballs, would be a must order again. Service was very good and attentive. Cozy atmosphere
A quintessential North End Italian experience. Small and intimate without being claustrophobic. Great food. Easily shareable portions. Noise level loudish but expected. Attentive service without being overwhelming. Second floor location gives you a perspective of being hidden. Watch the stair rail — you can get pinched. Would absolutely dine there again.
If you love truffle, there were plenty of dishes available that had truffle. Really good service, good food, but very very loud and tight spot that felt like the tables were on top of each other.
The food, server and overall experience was excellent (except it did get a tad loud). However, after 1 hour and 15 min the manager came up to us and said someone was waiting for our table. We had already paid our bill and were chatting with two patrons next to us. This was rude and unexplainable. We were clearly wrapping up our evening and had not overstayed our welcome. We arrived for our reservation on time, or maybe a few minutes early, had ordered two drinks, two glasses of wine, two entrees and split a salad. It's not as if we didn't spend any money for dinner. We made the reservation over 30 days ago and were looking forward to our dinner. For future patrons and local Boston friends, there are plenty of good options in the north end who would be happy to serve you and not ask you to leave within 75 min. (And for the record, we didn't see anyone waiting for our table when we left.)
Fantastic dining experience. The owner sat us immediately for our reservation and service was attentive and kind. I enjoyed the short rib special with mushroom risotto and my wife enjoyed the lobster gnocchi. It was clear the care and time they put into their food. We were served quickly and the food was piping hot- a big pet peeve of mine. No chance the food was sitting in the window after it was prepared. Lobster was fresh, gnocchi was tender and tasty. Short rib was bursting with flavor and risotto was the perfect texture- just a little bite with tender mushrooms. Would absolutely dine again. Thank you for a great meal.
Our dinner at Arya Trattoria was fantastic. Our waiter, Flavio, was helpful, informative and responsive to my wife's food restrictions, and provided us with terrific suggestions. The food quality was exceptionally good. We've gone to many North End restaurants and our experience here was by far the best.
Great service, food, and ambiance. On a second floor on Hanover, with a great view and less well known.

Cozy restaurant with excellent food and attentive service. We had the calamari, meatballs, gnocchi, lobster ravioli and spaghetti vongole. Everything was top notch. Try to get a table by one of the windows overlooking the street.

Made reservations last minute and was able to get a reservation the morning of .
Restaurant is located on the second floor in a cozy environment that can get loud depending on what time you have reservations.
Gentleman at the door was very welcoming and showed us to our table right at the window looking outward to the street which was great people watching from an elevated location. Restaurant was packed and I would recommend reservations be made .
Cocktails to start were a good generous pour and well prepared : Negroni was quite good.
Appetizers we got a side of grilled asparagus and the figs stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped with prosciutto and a drizzle of balsamic glaze . The figs were delicious and the perfect accompaniment for the cocktails . Asparagus was just okay , a bit too stalky for my preference.
Main dishes were the Pesto with pancetta topped with burrata made with Gluten Free pasta . Well prepared flavorful and heavy on the pesto which we prefer . Nice to see they offer all their pasta dishes with a GF option . The other main was their Tagliatelle Bolognese da Abruzzo which was a hearty ragu slow simmered with beef , veal and pancetta topped with freshly grated Parmesan. I really enjoyed this .
Overall we left satisfied with the entire experience despite being loud and a bit cramped in due to the small size of the upstairs restaurant .
I would possibly come back but would want to try other Italian restaurant options in the neighborhood for comparison purpose .

Came here on a recommendation from a work colleague. I now question their taste buds. Maybe my expectations were too high given it’s located in the well known North End. We got meatballs (average), lemon shrimp (quite good), filet (average), and sea bass (sub par). Sorry, just average at best. We are from St Louis and I’ve had dozens of superior meals at this price point and same dishes. It was disappointing to the extent I left a review. Their current 4.5 stars rating is misleading.
