Food was excellent but it was way too crowded and exceptionally loud. Not energetic loud, so loud we could barely hear each other. Too bad
We went for dinner on a Sunday night. TL;DR: The food was mediocre and far overpriced. I would not go there again or recommend it to anyone else, and I do not think it is "exceptional", as OpenTable claims. The anchovy and white truffle salad was probably the best thing we had. The Frutti di Mare was more spicy than necessary (and I've had good spicy food), the lobster was overcooked and rubbery. Not sure if the pasta was handmade or fresh (not previously dried), but it just did not stand out. The chocolate cake for dessert was bad - it had an off-flavor, and the chocolate ganache was not very good. The tiramisu was okay, but I've made better at home.
Quaint location on second floor looking down on Hanover St. and full of tradition. Sport celebrities decorate the wall. Red sauce was brilliant with well developed, flavor profile. Owner Massimo Tiberi oversees the operation personally and makes all feel welcome.
Great time as always. First time sitting by the window, thanks Massimo! Brought a friend from London and his first time in the north end. Loved it. We got a ribeye, rigatoni, cutlet, best meatballs in Boston. Was also nice they gave us the bottle of champagne ordered at the same price as the one we ordered. After letting us know it wasn't available. That's a great gesture. Can't wait to be back soon!!
We had higher hopes than our experience delivered. The food was definitely good, but not outstanding. The salad portions were generous and tasty. Our entrees were nicely presented but maybe 7/10 on flavor. The big disappointment was overpriced $18 cocktails that were average. Also, our server seemed perpetually disinterested and annoyed.
ate here with our friends tonight and we were blown away by the food. we got the meatballs to start, which were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. meals: rigatoni pesto with burrata, chicken parm, and bolognese. all meals were spectacular! we will definitely be back!

This place is insanely loud, just know that. They had channel 5 or 7 news on, so while you're trying to enjoy a decently expensive Italian meal, you get to watch crime updates and violence. Just put on the Godfather. Don't expect them to play Italian music, it's one of those places that plays pop. Bread has to be asked for, not fresh, not toasted, they give you a dish the size of my pinky of olive oil. Drinks were not good. Girlfriend got the Pom Cosmo, too much lemon and syrup. I got dirty martini, not good. Meatballs for the app were good. Burrata special app was not good. Everything was freezing cold, even the piece of bread that they “seasoned” and looked like it was toasted was cold. The tomato, olive, and herb mix that came alongside the burrata tasted like it was straight from the grab and go section at Shaws. Pasta dishes were both good, I got the pesto, my girlfriend got the lobster pasta. I expected better from this place. I remember telling the gentleman at the front last time I came here about a year and change ago, that it was the best restaurant I've been to in the North End, not the case anymore. Wasn't bad, just wasn't worth it.
I really loved this place. The owner, bartender, and our server were all exceptionally warm and welcoming. Every bite of food we had was delicious. We shared a special appetizer, I got the frutti de mare, my daughter got the chicken parm, and we also got the tiramisu. Everything was perfect. Wine list was great. It was one of the more enjoyable dining experiences I have had in the last couple of years and the best one I had during my stay in Boston. The food was excellent, without question. But the hospitality made the experience something to rave about. Thank you for being kind to a couple of oddballs in a new city.
The food is delicious and the drinks are great also! The staff is very attentive and professional.

The noise level was out of control. I felt rushed. Apps and salad served at the same time. Calamari was awful. Meatballs delicious. Bolognese was good flavor except the pasta mushy. Chicken parm nit do good. The server was social. For the price there is better

This place is a GEM, the owner and staff are phenomenal and wonderful people. I booked a reservation for 6 on a Saturday night for a special occasion. I am a total moron and somehow thought it was for 6:30 - showed up and obviously the table was no longer available. Met Mossimo and explained it was our fault, and in particular MY dummy mistake. He was so kind and found us seating, the staff was incredible, the food was amazing, and this place has loyal customers for life. Could not recommend more strongly and emphatically!

We enjoyed a wonderful meal. The ambiance was spectacular, as we were seated at a window table looking out upon Hanover Street. Would recommend
