Little hole in the wall. Fresh and delicious. Service was fast and pleasant.

Very good sushi, very special place with a very small bar to eat. If you want sushi, take it to go because it's very crowded and there are only 4 places. Avana is at the end of the corridor full of other restaurants.

I love and adore this place. Yes, it's very much a hole in the wall, and yes it really doesn't have much seating. You'll probably have a better experience here if you order for takeout as most people do.But the sushi here is legit. And the prices really cannot be beat. I'm forever a loyal customer if they keep these prices.

A lot of the shops in this spot have a hole-in-the-wall vibe. Avana Sushi used to be a go-to spot for me because the sushi was decent for the price. Dining in can be uncomfortable, as there are only a few stools around a small stall, so I prefer take-out. However, you can contribute a drawing to the iconic paper plate wall if you sit down. You can’t go wrong with a spicy salmon/tuna maki roll, but I like the special rolls more, specifically the Spicy Red Sox Maki or Spicy Mountain Roll. Grab dessert from the egg puff lady to the right.

We arrived after 6:00 pm on New Year's Eve. Many places were closed, and Boston Commons was already crowded for the festivities. We popped in for a quick meal. We had a couple of sushi rolls, poke, and shrimp tempura ala carte. There were a lot of take out customers, some regulars were greeted by name. After a while our order was brought. The food was OK. I was disappointed that there was no tempura sauce for my tempura.

Avana is hidden inside a corner location with other smaller vendors. There's very limited seating and many people order takeout from here. If you can get a seat, it feels wholesome supporting a really small business. The food is very affordable with a good selection on the menu. The miso soup came out very hot, perfect on a cold night. The sushi was prepared quickly and tasted good for the price. Don't expect anything fancy here.

Avana Sushi needs to get off of doordash or update their stuff because I always receive the wrong order. I ordered here again by mistake. I'm so tired.

We came for their lunch special (pricing in attached image, 11-3). The restaurant is located inside along with multiple other small restaurants. There was limited bar seating and one small table so if you have a group it might be easier to grab/go for takeout. They accept card/cash at this location. The lunch special was delish and came with a yummy miso soup. Each roll comes with 8 pieces. We ordered one special with sides and the sides were a bit small (2 gyoza and a small scoop of seaweed salad), but with the miso soup we left all feeling full! Recommend the shrimp avo roll :)

We had a delicious meal of mango, tuna, avocado sushi in an unassuming, casual space. We also enjoyed the dumplings.

Really a great spot! This is a hole in the wall near the entrance to a food court in Chinatown, and you might walk by and think nothing of it, but they really have some great specials, especially for lunch. The sashimi and sushi are not going to be the BEST in the city, but it is an incredibly good deal. The miso soup, again, isn't the best, but for $1 or included with your lunch special, it hits the spot. The shrimp shumai were actually some of the best I've had. Great service and incredible personality. Will definitely be back!

This place is rather underrated for the amazing sushi they serve. Intact even my vegetarian friend loved this place. The highlight is the miso soup- can you blv such a simple thing can be so good!?! Also try their mango avocado roll and thank me later.

Great food, great price, but it's situated with other food spots and it doesn't have a lot of seating options.

Ordered the sushi and maki platter (58pcs) and it was good! Used to be a little cheaper but it's roughly around $70. I think for 58 pcs including nigiri is worth it. Highly recommended for a get together.

I think this place has one of the best sushis in boston. The price is also very affordable and they make it very quickly and fresh! I've gotten multiple of their specialty rolls and I like the red sox roll. I've never eaten inside because it's small but I would order take out.
