I love and adore this place. Yes, it's very much a hole in the wall, and yes it really doesn't have much seating. You'll probably have a better experience here if you order for takeout as most people do.But the sushi here is legit. And the prices really cannot be beat. I'm forever a loyal customer if they keep these prices.
A lot of the shops in this spot have a hole-in-the-wall vibe. Avana Sushi used to be a go-to spot for me because the sushi was decent for the price. Dining in can be uncomfortable, as there are only a few stools around a small stall, so I prefer take-out. However, you can contribute a drawing to the iconic paper plate wall if you sit down. Very good sushi, very special place with a very small bar to eat. If you want sushi, take it to go because it's very crowded and there are only 4 places. Avana is at the end of the corridor full of other restaurants.
