What a unique and tasty experience! Each offering on the vegetarian platter was distinctly flavored and enjoyable. And the cocktails were tasty as well. We'll be back when we visit the area again!
We were a party of 4. On the recommendation of our server, we ordered one Veggie Platter with 3 additional dishes: Pork, Beef, and Chicken. Perfect in every way.
There must have been a change over. It's all new staff and the food isn't as good unfortunately. The cottage cheese appetizer is completely different. I tried twice to make sure. It was my favorite. I am saddened by the recipe changes and lower quality. Service was fine and the atmosphere was almost the same. Not a go to any more.
I love this place! Incredible food for a super great price and the staff was super lovely. My partner and I are vegan and we had plenty of options. Truly a must visit if you're in the area
Got the Misir Wat as lunch takeout on the weekend. I ordered online and it was very quick service, and was ready before the estimated time. The food was excellent and priced well for a large portion. Though I did not dine in, interior of the business seems to have a nice, intimate feel with pretty decor. Would definitely eat here again!
The food here was amazing and definitely worth the drive into the city. The omnivorous menu was already small, but about half was vegan friendly. My wife and I got two appetizers and the veggie platter for two with six vegan dishes. It was a great sampler of all the food. Some dishes were very spicy! But we were able to enjoy them. The mango juice was especially yummy! One of our appetizers was served still frozen inside! It's not like they rushed it out to us either. It wasn't easy to flag for attention even though we were only one of two active tables. The server barely spoke to us. Part of our interest in coming was a $30 discount from the app inkind, but it required spending $90 . You will not spend that much here with just two people. There are no alcoholic drinks or deserts.
Lovely little spot with authentic Ethiopian in a bustling area of JP. Great vegetarian options.
Wonderful flavors in a little tiny place. People are lining up to get in! Truly a unique experience in Boston
Wonderful restaurant! Will be back again for the great food and service. Authentic cuisine and beautiful decor.
The food is truly excellent. And lives up to its reputation. The ambience is very charming and casual, but clean and bright. There's a lovely outdoor area as well.

We tried a variety of dishes, as one does at an Ethiopian restaurant, and they were all very flavorful. The favorite of the table were the Yebeg Tibs followed by the Ye Salig Alicha (sp?).
Great Ethiopian food. Can't go wrong with the basics. Could use slightly more seasoning, like all the vegetable dishes tasted like previous versions I've had from other places, but every vegetable dish from Blue Nile felt like it was 20% toned down in flavor.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if it used to be more flavorful but they toned it down because Brookline residents complained about the spice... Who knows
The siga wat was NOT lacking in flavor. That was delicious and perfect, no notes
I went for an early dinner here with a few friends last week and generally had a very positive experience. We ordered a few crispy sambosas, which I really enjoyed with the spiced savory mayo sauce. We got two veggie dishes, the shiro wat was just fine while the sweet and savory yatakilt wat was so good we got two more orders of it! We tried three of the meat dishes, I would not recommend the yebeg tibs where the lamb was fairly tough. The chicken in the doro tibs was pretty decent and I could see myself getting it again. While the doro wat was by far the best meat dish, with well spiced bone in chicken in a delicious stew. A few of us also got the Blue Nile cocktail which was a sweet and delicious combination of blueberry liquor and Moscato. The staff were also wonderful and I'm looking forward to coming back for the sambosas, yatakilt and doro wat.
Really enjoyed this unique and tasty dining experience, great place to be with friends around the table. Sambosas were great.
Tasty and filling Ethiopian food in a small, well-decorated restaurant. Friendly servers and as always great food. I tried the Tej Honey Wine this time - definitely recommend!
