The food is absolutely delicious, the staff is so friendly and personable, the atmosphere is excellent, and they can easily accommodate gluten free with 100% teff injera. Love it here!Dietary restrictions: Easy to accommodate gluten free with gluten free injera

This used to be my go-to for what I considered " Authentic Ethiopian food". Growing up around alot of different cultures and having a Habesha best friend , I was close to the culture.. myself having a Sudani back ground.- A friend and I visited Blue Nile on 3/22/2024. I asked for the sambusa, the waitress stated they didn't have any. 15 minutes later a European couple comes in, orders and I see they have Sambusa! So I mention this to the waitress, .. and she dismisses me. Really?!- the food is usually delicious, but this time I tasted mediocrity. The cabbage smelled as if it were going bad,.. I asked for a replacement. There was one waitress in Particular who was not attentive at all! I watched her on her phone most times.I could go on.. but I'll end with ..I was very disappointed! I don't complain, and like to give good reviews,.. but this is deserved. We don't pay for bad service and bad food .Vegetarian options: Wasn't authentically seasoned. Tasted basic

Blue Nile is simply a must-visit in Boston! Exceptional food and wine, beautiful atmosphere, and the kindest staff. This was our first Ethiopian food experience, and staff helped my husband and I navigate the menu. So delicious and will absolutely be returning!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend who likes exotic style places. First of all, I would say this isn't a place to take someone you don't know very well. The food is shareable, arriving in a communal plate and you eat with your hands. No utensils. The food comes with a bread called injera which you use to scoop up the food. We ordered a chicken dish called Doro Tibs, medium spice, which was recommended by the manager, who was super helpful. The chicken comes surrounded by different vegetable options. The food was very tasty, and the prices are reasonable for Boston. The ambiance is also comfortable. If you want to try something different and you're adventurous, I definitely recommend this place.

Blue Nile is a lovely restaurant! Delicious food, thoughtful decor, clean, and the service was excellent. It felt like we had come to dinner at a friends house with a warm welcome and comforting space, with beautiful art on display and calming colors. We can't wait to go back!!
Such delicious food and our waiter was so kind. Highly recommend this place! We were a party of 4 and got doro wat, yesiga alicha, doro tibs, and the veggie revenge, and it was the perfect amount of food for 4 people, and everything was sooo good.

Blue Nile is an amazing restaurant for vegetarians!! I am delighted with the food, service, ambiance and would definitely return soon! Great staff, family owned. So friendly and happy to explain all the dishes! The food is extremely tasty and has so much flavor. I love Ethiopian food and the way it is plated to share with the table, though you can request for it to be plated for 2, or individually if you desire. The restaurant was packed for lunch on a Sunday so I suggest making a reservation in advance.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian combo/revenge is great if you want to sample the entire vegetarian selection, with a little portion of each dish placed on top of the legume flour pancake-looking base.
Great people. Family business. Great food, famous Ethiopian bread with so many tasty veggies. Make sure you try their cabbage and spicy red lentils. Get your meat medium spicy to be able to get the flavors. A dive into a culture. ENJOY!
