I usually order food from this place online via their own website and then go to pick it up (as I live nearby). A couple weeks ago when I tried to order, the website wasn't working, but the google ordering app worked, so I went ahead with the order, thinking it was just the website's problem. When I went to pick up, I notice the restaurant had a note it's temporarily closed! So seems that the problem is google isn't in sync with the actual restaurant status. My credit card was charged, and of course I'm very disappointed, I still give it a 3 star because this is really a nice small family operation and I hope they come back to business and reverse all the charges that shouldn't have gone through.

Charged my credit card immediately but never delivered the food, never contacted to me, wouldn't pick up the phone. Same experienced recently described by another reviewer below. Something is going on with this place.

My family ordered takeout via Mamtaz’s online ordering system, but never received our order. After two hours we called to check the order status but no one answered the phone and the voicemail was full. It’s too bad, because Mamtaz used to be one of my go-to takeout spots because their food is really good and generally their delivery was fast. So, no food ever arrived, there was never any communication, and they did not notice the error or issue a refund. The previous time I ordered takeout from Mamtaz and actually received my order, it took them over two hours to deliver. I wonder what is going on?

Best Indian spot in south Boston. Must get murg tikka masala and garlic naan. Mango lassi is a fantastic drink for a hot day!

Delivery guy was on time. The food however was disappointing. Ordered a chicken soup received a dal (lentil) soup with tomatoes and lemons. Called the restaurant about the soup, the manager mentioned they don't make chicken soup anymore and disconnected the call before I could say anything. But Chicken soup still shows up on restaurant website menu which is weird. Also, I should have at least gotten a call earlier (before delivery) if they don't make a menu item anymore, so I could cancel the item. Majority of the food items were under seasoned.

two days ago was the first time we went to this excellent restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We had great time with the generous service, with the finest food and wine and with the modest charge. We will no doubt come back soon.

I live a block away and order from here about once a week. We add a new item to our order every time, and the food always amazes us. Place is great!

One of my favorite restaurants in all of South Boston! We get take out very often. Our staples are the garlic naan, lemon curry, masala and the Indian salad! Authentic and delish!

Authentic south asian cuisine serving Halal Indian, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani dishes. One can also avail 10% discount on your first order. The delivery is also free. They don't offer Dine-in option, only take outs and deliveries.
