Petula's Reviews
Amazing food, great atmosphere. Ordered the Buttermilk Pancakes with lemon whipped cream and sausage, my partner ordered the Croque Madam. Would highly recommend all of it. What a great place!!
Great service and beautiful ambiance!
Ambience is nice, a little loud, which makes it hard to hold a conversation. Staff were very attentive and the service was overall very smooth, at the right pace, and with no delays. They also put a nice 'happy anniversary' card on our table, which was a pleasant surprise.
Food was decent. We tried a few things:
Salmon tartar, 4/5
Grilled shrimp, 5/5
Lobster gnocchi, 3.5/5
Smashed burger, 4/5
Cocktails that we tried were ok, but not that well-balanced....read full review

Petula’s is a charming spot in Southie, offering a modern and interesting meal with a nice atmosphere. The decor is thoughtfully arranged, creating a great place for a casual meal. The food mostly lives up to the cost, with dishes like vodka pasta, smashburger, and skillet cookie. The menu features interesting options, and many find the grilled shrimps to be the best dish—zesty and tender, topped with a delicious salad and crushed garlic and nuts. Appetizers like Arancini with Prosciutto are good, while the Caesar salad has a flavorful aioli-style dressing. The pizza's toppings are great with a thin, mildly airy crust, though it doesn’t compete with Boston’s best pizza. The roasted chicken is juicy, and the steaks are made to perfection with blue cheese butter enhancing the flavor. Service can be a bit odd at times, especially during busy hours, but staff are generally friendly. The ambiance is excellent, with a nice bar area, though it can be a little loud. Reservations are recommended due to its popularity. It’s a good choice for pescatarians, with some veggie options available. Overall, Petula’s has a great happy hour and is a wonderful place for a casual meal with friendly staff and a lively atmosphere, leaving guests full and satisfied.
