Great time, food was delicious! And the atmosphere was very comforting. Looking forward to attending the brunch drag show!
Not sure what this place is supposed to be . The food and drinks were horrendous! The one star is only for our kind and helpful server . If you want to attract customers , just saying it's a speakeasy with live jazz won't attract people . It's not even a speakeasy; it's more like a very old and dated bar . We ordered the mussels and the steak. The mussels were swimming in this thick nasty cream sauce - not white wine as described . The steak had an odd “ stale” smell and even though we ordered it medium , its texture was like rubber . It came with a Side of butter ; not a small portion but a BOWL of butter ... Jazz was ok . Definitely won't be going back . I'd rather go next door to Mooo for a better steak even if I have to pay more ( this was $48 for a 14oz steak ).
Haven't posted in years - unfortunately a bad experience led to this post. Waitress was great (had been to a private party before and she was excellent), but kitchen extremely slow and entrees never arrived before we had to depart. Bigger problem was the Manager not only didn't care at all, but showed to be quite bothered we even wanted to speak to a manager. Really unfortunate
Went for drag me to brunch event! The space is very clean, the atmosphere and speakeasy vibes were spectacular. Definitely would recommend going for drag me to brunch event to anyone looking for a fun day out!

Great atmosphere with live music! Dinner was very good and the presentation of the food was nice. Reasonably priced food and drinks!
Grab a pal you want to catch up with and go get some buck-a-shuck and dirty martinis at Carrie Nation. I've been there about 4 times and each was delightful. The atmosphere is clean, dark but welcoming and comfortable. There are so many nooks and rooms to experience this place. Tonight, my friend and I tried the front and back bars, but found them packed with crowds of people who knew each other deep in loud conversation. We returned to the host desk to get a table for two and our server was friendly, fast and helpful. We each got dirty martinis and a dozen oysters. The oysters were cold, fresh and tasted like the ocean. They came with sides of the classic cocktail sauce and horseradish and lemon, but also had a wine/shallot mix and a vinegary tomato juice. I took turns with each on the oysters. The martinis were delicious and smooth. I asked for extra olives and got 2 total, but maybe there is an olive shortage and I want us all to have olives, right? I've eaten other food there like the truffle fries, tenders and cheese board and all were awesome, especially the cheese board selection with honey included. There are the two bars, pool tables in the back, lots of tables and comfy seats, benches and high-tops in so many configurations to accommodate any type of group. I'd recommend if a spot looks crowded, find another because it will just get worse as people pack in to this popular spot. The bartenders are friendly and efficient, but looks like they could use a few more on staff. The server we had was top notch attentive and friendly, so grateful the lack of bartenders encouraged us to his service. And those oysters: 4-7 on weeknights are buck-a-shuck and it's perfect for after a long day of work. Thank you, will be back with friends and often!

Went to hear the Ron Poster trio on a Friday evening. Had a great time. Music was terrific, service was friendly, food was plentiful and good. Nice evening.
Absolutely Fabulous! Totally recommend. Entire experience was wonderful. Food was delicious. The Vietnamese chicken tenders were awesome. Service was exceptional. Can't wait to go back again. Yes you want to eat here.
Don’t come here if you are arriving via a trolley/bus. Any other form of transportation is fine though. This place must hate to get customers lolllll
Amazing Lunch. Highly recommend the Reuben and the Fish and Chips. The Fish was battered perfectly and the Pastrami was incredible. Well done!

The place is beautiful and perfect for taking nice pictures. The food was good, but the service was very slow. We ordered some glasses of wine that were completely forgotten and never brought to the table. Overall, it was an okay experience, but the service could definitely be improved.
My table was charged for things we were told they were out of and our server said their system couldn't print an itemized receipt. We had to basically beg her to get a manager to print the itemized receipt, making me question whether she didn't want us to see the charges. The next day I was told I would see the items refunded in a week without any receipt of that. Fingers crossed! My friends also waited over 30 minutes for their drinks...Even though the service wasn't great, the ambience made up for it. Super fun spot with live music.
I used to go to Carrie Nation back when the legendary Frank worked there. I hadn't been in a while and was delighted by the stellar hospitality. We were a group of 6 on a relatively quiet afternoon, and our server happened to be the bartender, whose drinks were fantastic. My friends and I agreed that it was a great hang and we will be returning
This was one of the best experiences I've had. Our server was so lovely, the food was what I expected and the aesthetic of Carrie Nation is gorgeous. A band played at 10pm (they were absolutely incredible) and the room was so positive and fun. Would highly recommend!
Great experience although, system to get into the speakeasy needs some work the wait was over 2 hours even when we were there for dinner prior, seems like many people were coming and going the area and not accommodated for
