Came in for a quick afternoon pick me up and unfortunately left very sorely disappointed with the taro milk tea. It was extremely watered down and did not taste good. The boba was standard and did not stand out. Would recommend avoiding the taro trying other options on the menu should you choose to come here, though we are not sure we would return.

I am quite disappointed in the customer service. As a person in customer service myself, I understand having fun at work. But while I had to wait to order as the person at the counter was whispering to her friend and gossiping. This type of behavior is very unprofessional. It was as if we were interrupting whatever they were talking about. When it was time to pay, she automatically put it on credit card while I was grabbing my cash while she continued to talk to her friend.

I'm sad they discontinued their egg puffs :( that was my primary reason for going here. I still got the signature fruit tea with lychee popping boba and it was very good. There wasn't enough seating for me to enjoy my drink sitting down though - I went at 7pm on a Thursday. I enjoyed my tea nonetheless.

We ordered Thai milk tea and passion fruit tea. It took 40 min for it to be ready and it is hands down the worst bubble tea we've ever had. Incredibly tasteless.

Love this little hole in the wall place. After walking and shopping it’s a great break with boba tea and some waffle bites. They even have a public restroom which you need to just ask for the key.

I have been here twice, but the experience and food/drinks were inconsistent.First time: I got the brown sugar boba milk, which was tasty. The boba was cooked well, sweet, and warm because it was fresh. I also got the chocolate and original smiley egg waffles. I liked the chocolate more because the original was a bit too dry. The gooey-ness and sweetness of the chocolate helped balance this.Second time: It was busy this day, and both my drink (black sesame milk tea) and egg waffles (taro) took a super long time (~30 minutes). You can see the stark difference in the quality of the egg waffles the second time compared to the first. However, I liked the taro and would rank it second of the three flavors. The black sesame milk tea was pretty bad because the black sesame flavor was very subtle, and it felt like I was mostly drinking watered-down milk.Ambiance: There is some seating inside, but it can get quite crowded being on Newbury Street.

In the summer, Cha Feo had a stall out front selling fresh jianbing (Chinese crepe). I had never had one before, so I decided to try it. It was quite expensive ($10, cash only), and you were able to add additional fillings if you paid extra. I thought it was cool to watch them make it on the spot, but I don't think the quality justified the price. I couldn't taste any of the sauces, and it was quite oily. My friends who had tried this before in New York said that this wasn't the best.

The best egg waffles (sometimes called egg puffs) in Boston! Large size, housed in an adorable egg carton, with multiple flavors (I like the chocolate best, but they also have taro and regular), and have an excellent texture. Bubble tea is also good!

i got a brown suga boba and it was very good. i was excited when i first walked in because the atmosphere seemed very cool, there were people sitting there working on laptops but it was extremely warm. the worker that helped me was extremely rude. i wish i got her name. after asking for certain sizes or milk, it was immediate hostility. it's perfectly fine if stores cannot make accommodations, but the way she went about it was very rude. anytime i asked a question, she answered as if i should've already known the answer. i've never been in the store before, and if i have a question, it should be answered with politeness. because there were others working on their laptops, i assumed the wifi was public and when i asked for it, the man who wrote it down seemed like he was annoyed i asked in the first place. i don't think i'll ever be returning, great boba, horrible service.

My favorites at Cha Feo are the watermelon slush (with cheese foam) and black sesame milk tea. Their cheese foam tastes great- rich, good balance of sweetness and saltiness. They have new items once in a while and seasonal drinks.Space is a small so dining in environment is not that great.

I love this place! I live down in Texas and I have tried Boba there and also in other places in Boston and nothing compares to this one.

Open earlier please!!Given the large amount of caffeine in a cup of milk tea, I don’t think many people would drink it in the evening and get a good sleep afterward. I always wanted to grab one on the way to work though. But it is always closed in the morning….

Their egg puffs tasted chalky and dry. The one with taro was better since there was filling to help moisten the puffs but the plain ones with no filling are drying. I felt as though I received a lot of attitude for no reason. I'm not sure if I'll be giving them another chance in the future. Their drinks range from $7-9 so basically market price! We go their black sugar boba and the boba was really hard, felt as though it was frozen and microwaved. They weren't completely thawed.
