Came in to grab a quick beer, ended up staying for 2 hours. Connor was an awesome bartender, had a great chat. Would recommend for someone looking for a pint.

We were on a walkabout on our recent visit to Boston and were looking for a bar to grab a drink and get out of the heat for a bit. We came across Corner Street Bar and it turned out to be the perfect place to land. Friendly service, full bar and a beautiful newly renovated interior. Considering the outdoor temps (and humidity) that day the AC in the establishment was a glorious 68 to 70°. And that was a real treat. The Corner Tavern was just what we were looking for!

Very poor service. The waiter literally YELLED at us and he was so mean to us.

We were celebrating the school’s semester end on monday. We had lots of drinks, first, the waiter left all the glasses and bottles without cleaning for the whole 2-3 hours. Then, one of our friends accidentally drop the corona bottle. The waiter YELLED at us saying we need to leave, it’s monday night why you breaking glasses etc. First off, you open monday night, we didn’t stay after or near the closing time. Second, it’s a bottle of beer, not glasses. Things like this happen at the bar. I’m not trying to justify my friend but the way we were treated was like WE ARE NOT ANOTHER HUMAN BEING. This could have been handled better. He acted like we committed crime or something. My friend calmly apologized (i don’t know how but he managed to be very calm) after the first yell but the waiter just kept going on with that attitude.

I will never go there again and i will tell my friends not to go there. It’s supposed to be a school year end celebration (and i’m not talking about wild party, it’s just us drinking beers, standing and talking to each other). Turned out, this guy ruined our experience.

Exceptional food in Back Bay! You can tell the staff really cares about the quality of their food and the ambiance of their restaurant. Their pasta salad was incredible and made with a pesto sauce instead of a traditional oil based dressings. I absolutely recommend it.

Appx $23 after tax and tip for a sandwich, side, and fountain drink.

Great little corner bar. We stopped in here on a rainy day for lunch and a few beers. The bartender gave some great recommendations on local brews and the meatball sub I had for lunch was delicious and filling with fantastic bread. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

A relatively small but charming place. They have done a great job with the aesthetics of the place and the overall ambience. Very polite service staff as well who took the time to engage with us.
Far as the food is concerned we ordered the pita bread + hummus and it was delicious.
Looking forward to the next visit!

One of the waitresses was extremely rude to us for no reason.
Came here to celebrate my graduation with friends.
She was friendly to others, which made us feel singled out.
Honestly, it felt racist and I won’t be coming back.
I am supposed to enjoy this moment, here I am, thanks to her sitting here and writing this.

Went in for lunch and a drink. Showed our Id’s and got a beer, a cocktail, and food. It was great! We left to catch the sox game and decided to go back after. When we went back there we got denied and told our IDs were fake, granted one of us had a temporary ID (although it was still valid and could scan), but I had permanent and we are both 22! The bouncer didn’t even check to see if it could scan or look at it. Just saw the temporary and said “yea no.” When we tried explaining that we had been there earlier in the day and that it was my partners 22nd birthday they told me to stop “lecturing them” and that it didn’t matter. The next two bars we went to had no problem accepting the temporary ID (because we are of legal age, the ID scans, and …. it’s real!). A good bouncer/bar should be able to tell the difference between a real id and fake, especially when we had literally been there four hours before! After reading some other low-star reviews it seems this bars biggest shortcoming is denying people who have valid IDs just because they’re from a different state or they have a passport from another country.

Lovely little bar with a cozy atmosphere and a small dining area. Very casual, chill place to vibe and chat. It can get quite loud and crowded so expect to shout talk to your companions at peak hours.

As other commenters have said, bar is super strict if you’re a foreigner. I’m in my 30s and the seccy wouldn’t accept my Aussie drivers licence as ID - said they only accepted passports.

Ended up going to a bar a couple of blocks down who were happy to accept drivers licence and bank card as ID.
