About Coterie

Coterie is a stylish restaurant that offers a variety of tasty dishes and a chic atmosphere. Guests enjoy the bread, particularly the mini baguette with pepper corn butter, and many find the food to be delicious and well-prepared. Popular dishes include the tuna tartare with avocado and the lobster roll, which is highly recommended and considered a highlight for tourists. The fish and Moroccan chicken are also well cooked, though some note that the Moroccan chicken's veggies can be burnt and the fish portion might be small compared to the lentils served alongside.

The restaurant's service, however, receives mixed reviews. Some guests describe the service as excellent and the staff as friendly, especially praising the nice waitress and the overall ambiance. Others report that service was inattentive, with delays in getting drinks, forgotten orders, and a lack of attention to details like refilling water or checking if meals are cooked properly. In some cases, service was described as not refined, with utensils cleared without replacement and bread plates cleared before the bread was eaten, which affected the overall dining experience.

Despite the food's quality, some guests feel that the price-to-value ratio is not ideal. Overall, Coterie is appreciated for its beautiful setting and good menu, but inconsistent service can detract from the experience. It seems best suited for casual drinks or a relaxed dinner, especially when the ambiance is quiet and the service is attentive.

Only had a drink. The Sidecar drink🍸

The bread (mini baguette) with pepper corn butter was great. My favorite dish was the tuna tartare with avocado. The French fries were great too. The Moroccan chicken was well cooked but veggies were a bit burnt. The fish was well cooked but the portion was small while there was a ton of lentils. Our waitress was very nice. Not a great value / price ratio so I would not recommend it.

Bummer!! What happened, Four Seasons Boston??

Food was excellent. Service was a miss. Totally.

Server rhythm was off and he was clearly and consistently inattentive. Two timing examples: (1) empty restaurant, he didn’t get our beverages to us until the meal was 25% complete (2) asked if “everything is ok with meal” after we finished. Failed to check in if we needed additional condiments as example, if meat was cooked properly, or to refill
