“The food here was absolutely amazing. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for in a great dim sum experience. Once the meal got going, the service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was lively and enjoyable.

That said, the start of the meal was a bit slow. It took longer than expected for someone to come take our initial order for tea and soup, and we were waiting for a while before things really got moving.
The main issue we experienced was at the very end. We left what we felt was a fair $20 tip, but the staff member handling the bill told us it was “too low” and insisted we needed to leave at least $30. We ended up increasing it to $25, and even then she seemed unhappy. That felt uncomfortable and unnecessary.

We’ve traveled to China many times, where tipping isn’t part of the culture, and we believe tipping should be based on the service provided, not pressured or demanded. The food and experience were great, but the way the tip situation was handled left a negative impression at the end of an otherwise excellent meal.

Overall, we’d still recommend the restaurant for the quality of the food, but we hope management addresses how gratuities are communicated to customers.“

“Food tastes excellent and is fresh. Service is great, and they can communicate well. Truly understand what we ordered. We were actually ordered a couple more orders of dim sum to take home, but completely forgot to wait for them. We realized when we got home that we had called back, and they remembered and even offered a refund without us asking.

This is our first time at Dynasty, but because of their services, and honestly, we will definitely go back every time we visit Chinatown.“

“It’s a pretty small dim sum place but they make the most out of it! The servers were attentive. As for the food, I thought the selection and quality of the food was average compared to other dim sum places I’ve been to. Nothing that was phenomenal, but nothing that was bad either. I particularly liked the shrimp dumplings. They also had a photo of red bean buns dressed like minions on the wall that we ordered. However, they gave us what I think are egg yolk buns instead, with no minions which was disappointing. Not sure if it was a language barrier or if they messed up our order.“

“One of the best in the world. Try the beef rice roll, shrimp rice roll, chicken bun, beef meatball, eggplant with shrimp, and tripe with ginger.
The tea is unreliable, especially on the weekends; the water tastes off. Some people will be turned off by their customer service and sitting at a round, shared table. The food itself is consistently great.“

The beef in the beef bun was tender and flavorful while still holding its shape.
The roasted duck was perfectly done,
and the soft-shell crab was irresistibly delicious.
The price is a bit on the higher side, but the quality absolutely justifies it.
