The menu was limited and disappointing and the servings very small. We were charged $10.50 (yes not even $10) for literally three pieces of bread. I had my five year old granddaughter and there was nothing on the menu for her and my daughter had to run out to Shake Shack to bring back something for her. The $30 half portion (but billed as full meal) of pasta was ok, not great. The $20 espresso martini was tiny. Talk about shrinkflation. Only plus was the service was good. I will not be back. But I do not expect this place to last.

Living in the Back Bay we dine at Terra quite often. We love the food, the service, the elegant yet comfortable ambience. More often than not, when we have visitors, we bring them to Terra, and it never disappoints for our guests or for us.

Food is absolutely delicious and served in a unique way! Very good although portion size is not large

Terra is reliable for high quality food at reasonable city prices. The space is attractive, colorful with plants a feeling of serenity; however, it is VERY LOUD and somewhat challenging to hear your dining companions as the room seem to resonate and vibrate with the sound.

My mom has Celiac and really enjoyed the gf pasta. We came for lunch and the place was not busy at all but the waiter was cramming everyone so close together with so much seating open around us. But the atmosphere was beautiful with all the plants and the food was good especially the gluten free tiramisu. Overall I'd rate a 7/10

I'd love to visit and try gelatos again.

Pizza Margherita: The pizza bread was so oily that it was even like soaking in the oil after reheating. The seasoning focused more on savory, while the sweetness and tanginess of tomatoes weren't as thick as imagined. The only thing I like was the fragrance provided by basil.

Gelato Pistachio / Salted Caramel / Mixed Berries: That was my first time to try desserts in America, and I was surprised to find out that it wasn't as sweet as suspected. Instead, the tastes and textures were really pure, natural and authentic. Pistachio and salted caramel gelatos were thick and great, but I would especially recommend the mixed berries sorbet, as its fruitiness, refreshing-ness and fragrance in spite of the somehow overwhelming tanginess and zing.

I had the fungi pizza and turkey panini, both are good, but the fungi pizza is way too good. The dough is freshly made, the mushrooms are addictive. Reasonable prices, too bad they dont have crushed peppers. I also tried the gelato in passion fruit, pistachio, strawberry, caramel, and coffee flavor. Passion fruit stood out among all of them, real fruit flavor.

The store is dirty and overpriced, the coffee tastes like plain water, but it’s priced at $8.99, seriously?

Ate at their sit down restaurant. Food was okay flavor wise but I'd enjoy the meatballs more if it didn't have multiple pieces of PLASTIC packaging material INSIDE. Restaurant manager seems not surprised at issues like this. This is absolutely food SAFETY issues and lack of kitchen management.

Got a chicken caeser salad to go… turned out to be a breadcrumb salad. On top of the INSANE amount of breadcrumbs, the dressing tasted absolutly nothing like caeser. Chicken was good tho.

i’ve been here twice now to eat and each time the service was okay, but the food was very very slow to come out. i asked for a little extra time to look over the menu and our waitress disappeared for almost 10 minutes. otherwise the experience was fine. however, after our meal, i wanted to buy some apples from the produce section. when i was checking out, the self checkout machine couldn’t recognize the produce barcodes so we went to the cashiers. the cashiers working at the front of the store were extremely rude to me and tried charging me $3.49/lb for apples that were supposed to be $1.99/lb. when i pointed out the discrepancy, the cashier told me i was wrong about the price and that it didn’t matter. i insisted the price was incorrect and the cashier was extremely hostile and told me to take a picture of the sign for the apples. i did, and eventually was charged correctly but this whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. eataly, please update your checkout systems so that more customers won’t have to deal with grumpy employees.

It didn't have as big of a selection as I expected for items. I was looking for some jams I had in Italy and they only had generic ones you would get in the grocery store.

What a strange dining experience. Imagine eating in a restaurant that has been put in the center of a food court. Passersby shoppers can watch you dine, ogle, stare, and walk right through your dining room en route to their pasta. They can watch as you consume the most subpar of cacio e pepe, overdosed with salt. If you'd like a treat, you can add truffles to your dish for double the price, which will earn you a few meager truffle shavings that barely add any taste at all.

All in all, a completely overpriced, substandard, publicized, Americanized Italian experience unlike anything you'd experience or expect out of Italy. I would give it one star but the pasta the sauce was drenching was actually not bad.

Eataly the shop is pretty great. You can find lots of things I miss from Italy. But at way higher prices.

Italian Mecca!
It is the quintessential location for all things Italian.
Stay for a meal in one of a variety of restaurants including pasta, pizza, grill, charcuterie boards, freshly curated dessert and coffee.

Salami freshly cut, fresh seafood, pasta, seeets, Ready made meals and fresh pasta to go and so much more

Grabbed a pistachio tiramisu. Flavour bomb smooth and textured not over powering like the traditional can be. So many great desserts to choose from.
A must. We are at ‘la pizza and pasta, see my separate review.
