Awesome place. Like the body of a causal European caffe but the soul of an classic American diner. Reasonably priced and solid food with very friendly staff.
Wicked good eats and pricing is extraordinary for the amount of food + area.
We just spent the last week in Washington DC, eating all sorts of things from various cuisines - this breakfast takes 1st place. Absolutely amazing, and worth a stop in. The staff is beyond friendly, a breath of fresh air from some of the stuffer persons we've encountered on our trip. The food was delicious - my wife got the eggs Benedict with crab cakes I don't even like crab cakes, and I kept stealing bites, it was that good. 11/10.

Thornton's Boston Breakfast & Lunch Restaurant offers delicious Mediterranean food at reasonable prices. The breakfast platter is authentic and well-received, with many dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. The shakshouka, Turkish/Arabic style, is especially praised for its delicious flavor and fresh potatoes on the side. The eggs are excellent, and the light pancakes are appreciated, reminiscent of those found in New York. The service is very excellent, with staff being nice, fast, and attentive, even when the place is crowded. Coffee is prepared promptly once a cup is finished. While some find the prices a bit expensive for this type of restaurant, the overall experience is considered good, with many customers enjoying cheerful service and a pleasant environment. The owner, who is Turkish, adds to the restaurant's cultural diversity, making it a welcoming spot for breakfast and lunch.
