“Was in Boston only for 1 day (from UK) and made my way around the edge of the harbour to Sunny Girl in a Saturday Morning around 9am, people filled all the seats outside and a line of people inside means its gonna be good.

Not halal but veggie options available, I ordered the Artie Party with no meat and orange juice, all good. Lady behind the counter was nice and polite, said they can add/remove any of the ingredients they have.

Will come back again when in town.“

Eggs Benedict are only served with eggs sunny side up (not poached), and on a toast, which is a bit average, but overall it is a great experience.“

Loved the one near Durham back in my college days, not too fancy and hearty, but with just enough flair to feel like an elevated brunch. And honestly it’s a tier above all the diners I’ve been to in Mass. Everything is made to order without heat lamps or deep fryers and the menu rotates a few times a year, so some dishes have these hidden gem elements you wouldn’t expect from a chain.

The Godfather breakfast bowl was the kind of upgrade I’m talking about, basically sausage and grits in a breakfast bowl. But the main thing here was the chopped Calabrian chiles. It was chili oil with the chiles chopped down almost into a paste, with a good amount of heat but more importantly crazy umami, and between the salty chiles, the sausage and all that Parmesan it was ungodly good.

Their popular strawberry tres leches French toast was made with thick-cut challah bread. Challah has a tight crumb from all the eggs in the dough, so it came out slightly denser and grittier than a regular French toast. It also didn’t soak up as much custard, and even with dulce de leche, it didn’t taste overly sweet.

Only thing I’d be careful with is their iced coffee. I got their honey caramel crunch iced coffee for the first time, and it came out like a milkshake, but with insane amount of sugar.“

“I have been going to Maryann's for a while. Its a local breakfast and lunch place. All the food is cooked to order by Bob the Owner. I usually go for Breakfast but Lunch items are available as well. It is usually a 1 person operation except for Saturdays when Georgia usually works as a Server. Coffee is freshly brewed and very tasty. it is cash only but the gas station across the road has an ATM. Give them a try.“

“The third-Sunday tour at the James Blake House is the only reason I made it inside the 1661 frame in Dorchester. A Historical Society volunteer showed the summer beam and the later Georgian updates, and Edward Everett Square traffic is loud enough that you hear it through the diamond-pane glass.“

“The French onion soup here is heavenly! The soup is really rich and tasty, loaded with onions, and covered with melted cheese on top. Honestly, one bowl is never enough.
You also have to try their Monte Cristo French Toast—French Toast stuffed with cream cheese, sweet smoked ham, and Swiss cheese, and served with strawberry syrup. It's totally to die for, and just as good as the soup! The portion is huge, but the price is super affordable, so you really get your money's worth.
Besides, the owner and staff are lovely. Super friendly with great positive energy. If you're in Boston, you gotta try Thornton's restaurant before you leave. It's a true Boston local spot that's been open for over 49 years, where locals eat. Seriously, if you don't try this place, you haven't really experienced Boston!“
