“Small neighborhood greasy spoon diner with generous portions and an excellent breakfast menu. Numerous daily specials including omelets, stuffed French toast and benedicts. I had the William Wallace omelet with fresh apples inside for a sweet savory and my girlfriend had one with avocado, broccoli and spinach. Service was polite and self service coffee was available. Not necessarily a destination for brunch but a nice place if you live in the neighborhood.“

“I don't know if he was the owner or just one of the employees there, but the gentleman name Assiss was super awesome! My friend and I were a bit famished, but didn't want to buy food just yet. We both had something small in mind to hold us over. Muffins popped into my mind. We saw and drove by Mass Hole Donuts and thought of trying is, but didn't quite want sugar. We kept driving down the street when we saw Magnificent Muffin. We slightly passed it and immediately placed the vehicle in reverse and parked right out front. We got out only to find out they had just closed. The guy was behind the counter and I was pleading with him to open the door and he did. He told us he was out of muffins as they go fast. We were bummed. When he saw our reaction he offered to make us something else. We both ordered jalapeno bagels with cream cheese. He ended i'm finding a few tiny muffins left and gave it to us. The whole experience, the food everything was spectacular.Thank you, sir. We appreciate you!“

“Breakfast newbie, heard great things, went, ordered of a limited yet varietal menu, sat outside in first come first serve seats, food made to order was out with minimal wait, delivered to our table. Theenu is primarily breakfast sandwiches, some with an Italian flair (foccacciabread for example). Limited GF options but they offered a corn wrap. The food is very good, the staff is friendly, and a good place to have a quick bite for breakfast“

“The type of breakfast sandwich that really gets me out of bed on a weekend. Would love for them to open a location in back bay (please) but I'm willing to traverse multiple blocks for this. It can get super busy but I ordered online ahead of time. No seating but could easily sit on a stoop or the curb or a bench nearby because it's in a cute neighborhood too. I would imagine they’re not usually toasted well. The best part about the “crack” sandwich was all of the gooey cheese. It saved the whole meal. Who can go wrong with a grilled cheese? Egg was fried perfectly, and just a bit runny. Wish the bacon was better and the sandwich had a little seasoning. It was very plain. The cheese made it, really. But like I said, they really couldn’t go wrong with all of the cheese they put in there.“

“Very friendly atmosphere and accommodating to our youngest who is wheelchair bound. Nice little spot with a mom and pop feel to it. Food was very tasteful and service was wonderful! “My wife and I were in Wakefield to purchase car and when we were finished we realized we had not eaten all day. We found this gem of a diner. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding. I started with the beef stew. it was excellent. It was not to salty, you could tell it was homemade the flavor brought me back to childhood. My wife started with the chicken and rice soup which she said was also fantastic, once again not to salty. I had the hot turkey sandwich with gravy. The gravy was outstanding. My wife had the teriyaki chicken stir-fry which was delicious. We needed the meal by brining home 6 raisin oatmeal cookies. I would highly recommend North Ave. Diner if you are in the area.“

“This place really is a gem! Awesome atmosphere, GREAT food- everything we had from the Benedict, waffles, smash burger, and the crazy deserts all were so good!

Also I HAVE to mention Paulina! Our server was out of this world! Our entire table all unanimously agreed she was the best waitress we’ve ever had.

Even if everything else wasn’t as on point as it was we’d come back just to have her as a server!

“I was getting some work done on my car nearby and needed to kill a half hour or so. Kind of hidden/not super noticable from the outside, very cute pharmacy counter inside with a lot of cheap breakfast options. They are cash only (there's an ATM, $2 fee at time of posting).

I just got scrambled eggs with bacon and toast, SUPER reasonably priced, mostly older folks were there, eating and chatting or playing Keno.

The other patrons and the staff were all super chatty and kind. I honestly had a delightful time, if I lived closer I'd find excuses to come by all the time, great vibes.“

“Haven’t been here in YEARS, still the gem in Roxbury. This Black owned breakfast spot allows you to pull up and enjoy a home cooked breakfast with affordable and reasonable prices. I would absolutely recommend this spot. The sweet tea was too sweet so they made me half and half which was good!

“We just spent the last week in Washington DC, eating all sorts of things from various cuisines - this breakfast takes 1st place. Absolutely amazing, and worth a stop in. The staff is beyond friendly, a breath of fresh air from some of the stuffer persons we've encountered on our trip. The food was delicious - my wife got the eggs Benedict with crab cakes I don't even like crab cakes, and I kept stealing bites, it was that good. 11/10.“

“I have been going to Maryann's for a while. Its a local breakfast and lunch place. All the food is cooked to order by Bob the Owner. I usually go for Breakfast but Lunch items are available as well. It is usually a 1 person operation except for Saturdays when Georgia usually works as a Server. Coffee is freshly brewed and very tasty. it is cash only but the gas station across the road has an ATM. Give them a try.“

I just had surgery on my hand and I mentioned to my cousin how an omelette would be easier to eat then picking up a sandwich. “I’ve been coming to this deli for 13 years and I order the same thing regularly. It’s not even a menu item, so I’ve always been charged based on what goes into it, and the price has been consistent every time I’ve ordered it.

Today, I was charged significantly more than usual. I still paid it because I assumed prices may have gone up. The issue started when I simply mentioned that the price was different than what I normally pay.

The employee immediately became loud, rude, and confrontational. He claimed he was giving me a discount today, even though I never asked for one and was willing to pay the price. I was only pointing out that the amount was different than what I had always been charged before.

What should have been a simple conversation turned into an unnecessary scene. After being a customer for 13 years, I found the way I was spoken to completely disrespectful and unprofessional.

What bothered me most was feeling singled out and humiliated in front of other customers over a simple comment about the price. Whether that was his intention or not, that’s how the interaction made me feel. After 13 years of supporting this business, this experience has convinced me not to return.“

“When I lived in Dorchester, I could hardly believe how old this is. Build 84 years before this became a country outstanding! There are a lot of historical buildings in Boston, they are a must-see when you visit. Just try to street clear of the Mass ave nonsense.“

“This place is great. I am not a breakfast person so I go for lunch. Two great items are the burgers and the fried haddock sandwich with steak fries. Burger always cooked the way you like it. I like well done. Fried haddock is considered a special item but usually available. This is delicious if you like fried items. I am there every Saturday for lunch. Give this place a try. You will not regret it.“

The energy is buzzing with friendly conversation as you can tell there are always returning customers and you feel right at home. Prices are beyond fair especially given the quality; coffees always bold and fresh. Home fries are by far the best in middelsex county. Everything from the hash to the pancakes is always great and has the made from scratch taste. The best part of Jimmys is the family who owns it, Rita is one of a kind and you can’t replicate this place or it’s atmosphere anywhere else.
