“The nicest people in town! The waitresses are super nice and the kitchen is always consistent and delicious- especially the omelettes and chocolate chip pancakes! If you’re looking for a warm atmosphere to enjoy your breakfast this is the spot! :) 10/10“
“Don't judge a book by its cover. First impression was that the cafe was small and really busy. But after we were seated and Kim came over to greet us, she was friendly and really terrific. The place calmed down a bit, we had a great table, and the food was really good. Omelette was great, tasty pancakes, home fries were crispy. We ended up lingering way too long. I would absolutely come back for the great service and the food. You have to get past the size of the cafe, and after that, you'll become a fan like we did.“
“I’ve had them all, all the breakfast sandwiches Boston has to offer. And while there are some seriously good contenders, there’s a new champ in town. This is hands down, the undisputed best breakfast sandwich you can currently get in the Boston area. The freshly made English muffins are impeccable, the eggs always perfectly cooked. They use the highest quality ingredients, their bacon and sausage are just next level deliciousness. But it’s the small attention to details that put them over the top. Additionally, they have great customer service and if your order online you can cut the lines that form on the weekend. And don’t sleep on their ever growing lunch options, my personal fave being the turkey #1, add sunny sauce, in fact add sunny sauce to anything you get here, it’s that good. Sunny Girl is a true breakfast gem.“
“I recently visited Brookline Lunch in Cambridge on a busy Sunday afternoon for brunch and the place was packed--there was even a line outside! To expedite the wait, I strategically left my partner holding our spot while I popped over to a nearby ATM for cash, knowing this spot is cash-only. After about 30-40 minutes, we were finally seated inside. Despite the crowd, the restaurant exuded a cozy, homely atmosphere. I started off with a Turkish coffee, which was akin to a condensed espresso but had a wonderfully aromatic effect. It was not quite my cup of tea/coffee but I'm more of a latte fan. I could still appreciate the artistry of it and enjoyed trying something different. For my main course, I opted for the spicy sausage shakshuka, and I thought it was a unique take on the dish. Unlike any shakshuka I've had elsewhere, this version felt more like a hearty breakfast bowl, with fewer tomato sauce but packed with all my favorite ingredients--potatoes, sausage, poached eggs, garbanzo, carrots, and delicious naan bread. We read a review that recommended the chili oil sauce and requested some. It added a nice kick to the bowl. We also decided to order the Baklava pancakes to share. While undeniably delicious, they were extremely sweet, with the top pancake boasting generous toppings of pistachio and baklava. It's a unique dish and a must-have for those with a sweet tooth, but personally, I preferred the savory shakshuka. Overall, I highly recommend everyone to try Brookline Lunch at least once. I'll certainly be back, but perhaps when the lines aren't as daunting!“
“So glad we happened to find this place! We were staying over for the night after a day in Boston and needed coffee and breakfast before heading home. The service here was more than friendly, the coffee was to die for and they had so many flavors to choose from! Our breakfast sandwiches were delicious. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will make it a point to come back!“
“One of my favorite spots for breakfast, Nick & Andy’s has great food, large (without being grotesque) serving sizes, at reasonable prices. I love love love their yogurt parfait which is huge and super delicious. We are also big fans of the very berry French toast.“
“Old school diner feel but clean and servers are attentive. Food is consistent and quality is better than most other diners around. If you're coming on the weekend, come early, before 10am for less wait. On the weekdays, they're busy too but not as packed so should be able to get a table with little to no wait. They post specials and uses seasonal ingredients.“
“This place is authentic and warm, the food is simple but delicious, nothing pretentious/fancy, just good food, and we love it for that. The atmosphere is simple and relaxed, great for having a conversation, the service is excellent, and the prices are great. Best breakfast/lunch/brunch in the area!“
“With breakfast being my favorite meal, I am always looking for something savory and sweet. My friend and I did a little trading of French toast. The Fire king and banana bread french toast were both flavorful and different in their pens. The fire king had cinnamon swirl in the batter. The banana bread french toast was the perfect combo. For the savory, you can go wrong with the classic: eggs, bacon, potatoes (and hash browns, we split those too) and toast.Definitely will get back!“
“This little bakery is cute. I walked I'm ans quickly realized it was cash only so I did have to go dig cash out of my car. I was greeted by the sweetest woman. The bagels I got were delicious. They were perfectly dense and huge! Only $2 per bagel which was great! 1000% recommend!“
“Love Daily Harvest cafe! The food and coffee is always fresh, delicious, and served with a smile. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. My favorite breakfast is the veggie sunrise wrap and the Chloe sandwich for lunch features the most delicious cranberry orange mayo! I love that their breakfast wraps and sandwiches have freshly cooked eggs, not the microwaved patties you sometimes find in other coffee shops. We come here year round, but I especially love DH around the holidays. It's small and cozy, and I always look forward to voting for my favorite gingerbread house while sipping on an eggnog coffee. :)“
“Nan’s Cafe is my go-to for a quality breakfast. The food is always delicious, whether you’re craving a classic eggs and bacon or something more adventurous. The staff sets this place apart—they’re always amazing, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door.If you’re in the area and looking for an outstanding breakfast spot, do yourself a favor and check out Nan’s Cafe. You won’t be disappointed.“
“What an absolute find this place was! A little hole-in-the-wall restaurant that's easy to miss. Extremely friendly service with unbeatable prices! Menu fairly limited, but they offer a good amount of specials and you can find pretty much anything you would at most breakfast places. Got a biscuit breakfast sandwich that was on special. Came with home fries and ordered a side of bacon as well. Food came out quick and everything was delicious. Staff seemed to know every customer there or that came in for takeout. I need to become a regular here and cannot wait to come back!“
“Everytime I come here the food always comes out correctly. On my last visit having lunch with my mom I had their new smothered chicken sandwich it was so delicious packed a huge piece of chicken with the toppings it fell apart while I was eating it so used a fork and knife.“
“I was finally able to get to Somebody's Place to get my hands on their donuts. They made super cute heart shaped donuts for Valentine's Day that I didn't get a chance to grab. The long anticipated wait to try these donuts was completely worth it. Their hours are Monday through Friday, 7am to 2pm. They know what they're doing. When your product is this good, you can make whatever hours you want. You build up the hype this way. You can't make these available on the weekends. I would be a regular here. I was able to bring the kids along with me and they were just as excited as I was to walk through the door. The inside of the place was cute with several tables to eat. They must have known we were coming as they had a high chair placed in front of the donut case for my littlest who climbed that thing with ease. My eldest in predictable fashion picked the chocolate frosted and my youngest nabbed the last strawberry frosted from the case. For the husband and myself I picked an apple cider, apple fritter, honey dipped lemon, and the fried dough, as recommended by the staff (amazing choice by the way!!). The woman at the counter was super nice and helpful. I ordered a hot coffee and even that was delicious! Instead of the kids asking, "Are we there yet?", every minute of the drive I was asking the kids, "Can I eat my donuts in the car?". I maintained composure and waited. Each donut tasted flavorful, soft, yet perfectly slightly crispy on the outside. I think my favorite of the bunch was the fried dough because it was so light and fluffy. I make far drives for good food, especially donuts, and this rivals some of the best donuts I've had. It's tough since this place is actually pretty close to me. From start to finish, just an enjoyable trip. I will be back to try other things. I had tunnel vision. They have a whole menu, but they had me at donuts.“
“Stopped here for the Hungry man… for $16. The food was OK. The potatoes were cold with hot spots. They put the cold butter on the hot pancakes, never figured out why they’d do that. But, there are something’s in the world I’ll never understand. If I am in the area, I’d consider Freddy’s or go to McDonalds and cut the cost in half.“
“I have to leave a review because the several years that I've been to this restaurant he's always been wicked nice! Food is always been consistently good. That being said, now being a vegan, the only thing I can eat there is maybe hash browns and a banana. I almost feel like it would be too much to ask for him to make some thing vegan, but you can just tell that the food is made with love in every bite.“
“Local breakfast/lunch joint. Been a part of Watertown landscape forever!Great food, fast courteous service and wicked good prices! This is a cash only establishment.Had the corn beef hash with 2 eggs (they don't do poached on the weekends); my wife had the egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. Both super and ample servings!“
“I order the steak rice bowl with feta and veggies and it's consistently delicious! I like my steak tips medium rare, and they are cooked perfectly every time. The other items on the menu are good too -- but this is definitely a stand out! Compliments to the chef!“
“Had food catered for 2 events from here now. Pretty quick and great communication. Handling university catering is no joke and they have deliciously impressed every student at both events. Highly recommend for catering Dominican American Brunches.“
“My vanilla latte was basically correct - lingering finish, not bitter - but the beans either weren't the freshest or were just not ground finely enough, because I didn't get the awesome flavor that coffee can deliver. Inside is a little dated for my taste. The booth seating has tape and tears in places like an aging diner or cafeteria would.“
“In a quest to tap into my childhood, pile driving bowls of Cap'n Crunch, I sought a breakfast spot that boasts a crusted French toast that will send me soaring back to the 90s. Well, move over Mario, it's time for Luigi's to take center stage.Luigi's is a no-frills North Shore diner that excels in greasy spoon comfort breakfast and lunch options with big portions. As mentioned, my personal favorite breakfast option is the perfectly griddled Cap'n Crunch French toast - a delightful crunch on the crust which remains moist and approachable, otherwise. Paired with butter, powdered sugar, and syrup, it may spike your blood sugar, but it's well worth it. For "healthier" fare, the feedback on the veggie omelet was fluffy, fresh, and tasty. The potato sides (both hash browns and home fries) were well-seasoned and plentiful. Coffee is what you'd expect.Amidst the slightly chaotic table setups, find solace at the expansive granite bar top, boasting a dozen or so stools for a cozy dining experience. The service is friendly and reliable, ensuring your cup is never empty. And when warmth graces the months, don't miss the ice cream stand's lineup of Richardson's local favorites.Luigi's captures the essence of a classic diner with finesse, delivering on a diverse menu that's bound to satisfy your cravings. Brace yourself, however, and come hungry!“
“Paul Revere Restaurant is a step back in time (in the best way) to old-fashioned diner style eating. I had to Two Lanterns and some hot coffee. The plate was super filling and delicious while being a no-frills joint. Prices were very reasonable, and you can tell a lot of diners were regulars based on their conversations with staff. Our waitress was great, and consistently checked in and topped our coffee off. We're already planning our visit back!“
“Absolutely love this place. Nothing better than a great family owned diner.Great people, great service, great food. What more could you ask for?I can't tell you how many times I have been running late and they get me in and out in a flash.I wish they were open later in the day but I understand why they aren't.If you want to support an excellent family owned local business stop in and check them out, but make sure you are aware of the hours so you aren't unnecessarily disappointed.“
“Just came back from Robert’s the atmosphere was great. The wait staff was wonderful . We got blueberry pancakes , home fries and an omelette all were amazing. We cleared our plates. The place was very clean and put together I would definitely be going back :)“
“Good spot for breakfast north of Boston. Most of my food was pretty good, and they do give you lots of it.I got their buffalo chicken waffles special, which was obviously something a little different but I thought it was tasty. Their homefries were nothing to write home about, pun fully intended. They were pretty mushy with only a few crispy spots.Servers were very nice. Line cooks were fast too.Didn't try any yet so I don't know how they are, but they have a wide variety of muffins behind the counter. It is great that the price is right here. Very hard to find restaurants around Boston that actually give you a decent amount of food at a reasonable price.“
“Great takeaway breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Can be overrun by hungover college kids by 10am. Yummy food but not enough room to hang out, nor would I want to considering the number of people lining up for breakfast.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is accessible but the waiting area is very tight. There is a threshold to get over and maybe not enough room to get a wheelchair in if it's busy. I am sure the staff at the counter would come to the door to take an order - they're good people.“
“Great little breakfast diner that is family owned and has delicious home cooked food with friendly service. There is bottomless coffee and very generous portion sizes. It is a little gem in Somerville that has regulars and a friendly atmosphere. This place is cash only and there is an ATM inside if you need some money. This place is worth a visit!“
“My family and I have been coming to Beyond Bagels for as long as I can remember! From lunch dates to early Sunday mornings, Beyonds has and will continue to be a weekly ritual in our house! Everyone is so kind and welcoming, and the bagels are always fresh and delicious! My go-to order is a Turkey club on an egg bagel!“
“Since deli king in tewksbury closed my family and I have been searching for a breakfast joint, we’ve tried 3 already and we ate here today and this is now the go to place for breakfast for my family and I. Absolutely delicious, we ate everything left no crumbs. Couldn’t stop saying “wow that was good”…it was unbelievable so good…definitely the new Sunday go to breakfast joint!“
“One of my favorite breakfast restaurants in East Watertown. That’s saying something because there are 5 or 6 excellent places near East Watertown. California Omlette and California Benedict for us. Delicious! And I love the Coffee. Not a common brand (get it?). String but good.“
“My husband & I went to the lighthouse for the first time more than five years ago. It has that classic cafe feel that doesn’t go out of style & it also is kept very clean (even the rest rooms). We live out of town but we continue to go back. We always have breakfast & it is a good classic breakfast at a very fair price. But it really is the people who are there that bring you back. Leo, the owner & cook eventually will know any regular customer’s name & he is always happy to see his returning customers. Gina remembers what you drink & has it at your table before you have even looked at the menu. She always has something to say to the kids or show to them. My granddaughters always get a special Micky Mouse pancake often delivered by Leo himself so he can say hi to the kids. There are (understandably) regulars there. If you enter with your hands full or pushing a stroller you never have to worry, someone always jumps up & lends a hand. It is the Cafe version of Cheers. There is a sense of community there. They know you & are happy to see you. If you haven’t been there definitely give it a try. A little local gem where kindness isn’t out of style.“
“Dempsey's is the perfect neighborhood breakfast joint. Everyone is so nice inside too. It has a classic diner vibe inside and a nice big menu with plenty of breakfast and lunch options. I absolutely love their flavored iced coffee! So delicious.“
“Wow, there are some miserable people out there leaving reviews!Folks, DO read the reviews of the actual customers! They are NOT TRYING TO FOOL YOU!!!GREAT FOOD!These people actually cook their own food! They do not warm the soup out of a can!! They do not buy frozen Spinach pie and cook it for you…. they actually make it with fresh ingredients! They always try to listen to their customers and if it’s not on the menu and they have the ingredients they’ll make it for you…. Because they care! They have been caring for the customers for 23 years!“
