I buy the durian cake here for every one of my family members birthdays. Their cakes are layered with fresh fruits and actual durian fruit. The prices are very reasonable. I’ve been going here for many years and they maintain the quality throughout the years. American cakes are boring and way to sweet.
The mango cake is not very tasty, and expensive.Saw rave reviews about this cake and got it for my mango-loving daughter's birthday. Unfortunately it's nicer to look at than to eat.For those who are considering it, the cake consists of lightly sweet white sponge cake (reminiscent of dense white Wonder Bread in texture and taste) with whipped cream and mango chunks between layers, topped with mango slices. Fruit and cream cakes are delicious and not too sweet. Best custard cream buns. I have never been disappointed by any of their baked buns. This is my family's favorite Chinatown bakery.
