well the ice cream was good and the size of the portions was also good. my wife got a waffle cone and I got a cup. However,to the manager or owner. You should run classes on how customers should be treated. This has happened to us and others we know so it seems to be a pattern of bad customer service. We gave your location a second and third chance but it was bad service all the time. Loose the current staff and replace with people who like their jobs. You have a nice place and good products. The bad staff will kill your business.

Closed and was so in the mood for some ice cream.

Great ice cream, that’s for sure, but the prices are outrageous.

A good selection of Ice Creams. Loved the S'moreo Flavor! The Nutella Cookies did not live up to the expectations

Honestly there ice cream itself is really good, and I would consider myself a big ice cream fanatic. I should've went to one of the other locations since this is not really a "store" and more of a stand. The cones looked great but I'm not really a cone girl. But the spoon they gave me was basically impossible to eat the ice cream with. The girl wasn't very nice. They could have better sundaes. I would try it again at the back bay location.

Seems like this place moved from their previous spot at the North Station plaza. Perfect after a slice of pizza next door. Pricing not so bad considering the pricing inside TD. Portions are large, so just had one scoop of vanilla bean... very good. Cool seeing all the different candy cones... seem to be popular. Service was fine.. matter of fact.

Chocolate products were very stale and tasted awful. Too bad I paid $30 for inedible dessert.

Ice cream was great. Very flavorful and I enjoyed the cone with rice krispy around the top. I usually don't go for a cone but decided to try it and was thoroughly impressed. Just wish there was more flavor options. The chocolates were very good as well

I went in yesterday and ordered a scoop of cookie dough in a cup. It $5 and change. Kinda expensive but good. Today I decided to get 2 scoops since it's only around $1 more. Got the same thing I ordered yesterday but charged me for more. Didn't have time to complain. They Lost a customer.

Friendly staff and great ice cream at an expected price for the Boston area

Emack & Bolio's is ridiculously expensive compared to other (much better) ice cream shops in the area. I paid about $7 for a 16 oz malted frappe, which was mediocre at best. It was more liquidy than I would have liked. They have an "extra thick" frappe which I haven't tried, so I'm not sure if that's any better. Ice cream flavor selection is decent but doesn't seem to change that often. Employees are rarely at the register unless they're already helping another customer. More than once I've spent several minutes just wanting for one of them to show up. As of writing this review, their credit card system is down and has been for at least a week or two. Not sure if/when that will be back up but for now they're cash only. Not worth withdrawing money from an ATM if you don't have cash on you though. If you want to get the kids ice cream before or after a game at TD Garden, or want a pick-me-up to enjoy on the train home from work, this is an okay option if only for the convenience. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

Super delicious! Great shop.

Close it down, women had attitude and cone felt like concrete. Was not good at all.

Outstanding Staff! - While walking the freedom trail last Monday we stopped off for a quick ice cream to escape from the heat. One of the two girls behind the counter was dealing with a difficult customer in the most graceful manner while the other served us. The customer was a bit odd and was having a taste of literally every single ice cream on offer before eventually settling on 'the first two' that he tried (out of probably 20 flavours). The girl serving him couldn't have been more patient and kind. When he eventually settled on his flavours he watched her fill up his cone and told her to make the generous scoops bigger. She politely did so. I don't know how long he was at the counter but judging by the amount of empty spoons in his hand it must have been a while. The girls couldn't have been better ambassadors for the chain and I will definitely be back (the ice-cream is also fab!)
