The clam chowder was flavorful and had whole clams in it, which is something you don't often see, and instead of the ubiquitous plastic container of hexagonal oyster crackers, they give you a small packet of crispbread which is wonderful in the chowder. The brown butter lobster roll was equally delicious, with just a touch of spice. The portions are a little bit small, so you're not overwhelmed with the food, still have room for dessert. The service was quick and friendly and attentatively efficient

TikTok recommended this spot for lobster rolls and they were spot on! Eventide offers both a warm lobster roll in brown butter sauce and a cold one, and I have been craving that warm one ever since. The oysters were so fresh and delicious! Perfect spot for fresh shucked oysters. We went with our server's recommendation and he did not miss. The lobster stew was just okay for me. The scallop dumpling was great! Needed a little more scallops to balance with the prep style of the dumpling.
Oyster shooters were outstanding and fun. The dirty martini and espresso martini were perfect. The brown butter soft serve was DELICIOUS! OMG! Great spot, highly recommend.

Nice oyster bar near Fenway. Really enjoyed the casual yet clean counter feel. Good menu and great food.

UPDATE: went back a year later, still FANTASTIC, really much better than many of the other more well known oyster bars around town. Service is also really wonderful. My new favorite place in town!

I probably had the least appetizing lobster roll in my life here. The atmosphere was nice, but the food and service were not the best.

I used to drive up to their Portland location as often as I could, so I was genuinely thrilled when I heard they were opening in Fenway. Eventide’s oysters remain unmatched in my opinion, and their lobster rolls are still heavenly, even if on the smaller side. I still dream about the salmon tacos they used to serve; they were absolutely phenomenal. I remember they told us to pay $5 for extra taco shells, which was hilarious.

In the past, they used portable POS systems without providing paper checks, making it hard to clearly see the itemized billing—especially with administrative fees added post-subtotal. It left me wondering if the lack of transparency was deliberate. I appreciated that during our most recent visit, they brought a proper paper check. That felt like a much-needed improvement.

However, I was disappointed to find that overall service has declined. In the past, staff were warm and engaging, but this time, they seemed very unhappy, almost as if they were reluctantly going through the motions. Our chairs still had crumbs from previous diners, which, for a restaurant positioned in the higher price range (particularly given the modest portion sizes), felt below standard.

The clam chowder also seemed noticeably smaller than before. I fully understand that operating costs in Fenway must be significant, but unfortunately, this location continues to fall short of the experience I remember and love from Portland—for different reasons each time.

That said, I’ll still return for the oysters, which are consistently excellent. I do hope they consider relocating or rethinking the current model—perhaps then the atmosphere, service, and overall experience would better reflect the quality of the food.

Overpriced small portions entitled servers they charged an “admin fee” of 5% we were not aware of until reviewing emailed receipt. They gauge due to proximity to Fenway. A hard no for dinner before the game next time.

Really pricey and their gluten free rolls are weirdly sad and gross

Not sure what I’m missing but this is not Boston’s best lobster roll. Yes, it’s good but not worth the price. Overall I did enjoy the food but not on my top 10 list of lobster rolls

Far and away the best lobster roll and seafood in the area (and there are a lot of similar sounding options in Boston). It’s not all typical, and it is all good. The food and drink are top notch and the atmosphere is welcoming, not fussy. I hope they don’t try to improve too much on this formula … simple and focused on they they do best.

I used a third app party to deliver my food to the hotel. The portions are small, with the exception of the delicious Whoopie Pie. The lobster roll was good, but small in portions for the price. The clam chowder soup was extremely good, and filling for a small portion. Surprisingly, I orderd because of the lobster roll, but it was the clam chowder and the whoopie pie are the best items I had from this place. The later being huge, and fairly well priced.
