Foods are authentic and delicious, they offer great service, and has great environment!! Enjoyed the experience a lot.
Came here because we didn’t want to wait at other restaurants and I'm so glad we did! Lamb cumin-style was out of this world. Beef with garlic chives was a nice, milder contrast. Eggplant in garlic sauce was delish, but seafood with peppercorn was overwhelmingly ginger-y. Food came out fast and hot and was beautifully plated. The service was attentive. We were seated immediately but it got crowded fast by 615 on Saturday.

Gorgeous food, ordered fired noodle, Dan-dan noodle, beef tongue and cabbage with pork, all super good. And their ingredients are so fresh, as good as food I had in China. Would highly recommend everyone. I

Reopened and floors look clean. Not much of a revamp but I am so happy they opened. The best Mapo tofu I had is at Five Spices!! Also love their dry eggplant which unfortunately I did not find on their new menu .. though still available at the Cambridge location. Service has always been iffy but compared to other places in Chinatown the service is way better than the norm.

Excellent Sichuan dishes. The other dishes are fine, but the Sichuan food is the highlight. Only downside is the service is not American-style but they expect an American-style tip. Absolutely worth it for the food tho. Best dishes: Sichuan crispy beef, mapo tofu, twice cooked pork, scallion pancake, tea-smoked duck, dry sautéed string bean, dry sautéed eggplant, salt and pepper squid, spicy dry pot anything.

Your staff treats customers very poorly. I have witnessed this multiple times. Especially the two ladies and the gentleman at the entrance. I am very dissatisfied!!!!! I don’t even want to give one star. ((((((((((

If I could rate this a 0.5 star I would. The 0.5 would be because they actually had good crab Rangoon. But the service was horrible. The food was just mediocre and very small portioned for the price. $21 for the tiniest plate of shrimp? When it was time to pay, I even gave at least 18% of the bill bc the service wasn’t even good. The waitress refilled our drink once which had particles in it and brought the small plate of food. Literally that’s the bare minimum and basic etiquette. So I felt she deserved maybe just an okay tip. But she stopped us from leaving and counted the tip and said it was not enough for her. She demanded we must give her at least 20% tip. A tip is not mandatory and is completely up to the customer. It wasn’t that I wasn’t going to give her a tip. It was just that what I gave wasn’t enough for her. If she was going to force a tip, let me add in that she spilled our egg drop soup and didn’t even get us a new bowl. Place was sticky and small with no AC for their customers. I do not recommend coming here at all. You can easily find another Chinese place in Chinatown with the same type of food for better quality and not demanding a tip!! I thought trying out this place would be a good change but I guess not!
The food was very tasty. However, the server literally harassed us at the end about our tip and said it’s not enough. She forgot our drinks, we had to remind her, and no one asked us mid way if we needed anything, which I’d expect if I will be leaving a decent tip. Since the service was mediocre, a mediocre tip was left. What left a bad taste in my mouth was her literally counting her tip in front of us and saying “why’d you only tip this much”. Safe to say, I’m not coming here again. The funny thing is, right before she did that my husband and I were discussing coming back here with our families because the food was amazing. If you want to keep customers returning, fix your business practices.

Food is decent enough but I wouldn't come back here. Buns have almost no meat in them and the staff seems to be in a bad mood
