We were glad to find this place in the seaport area of Boston as we were exploring the area. The menu had a lot of choices and we sampled with a beer salad and split a burger. Both were freshly made and good quality. The location is cool with an artsy exhibit space attached. The staff were friendly and efficient. I would return

Hostess was pretty unpleasant. The drinks and food were pretty good!

We were with 8 people and 7 of us did not finish our food. One of my colleague had the falafel and it was dry and tasteless. The gnocchi was overcooked. The lobster rolls and fries were not freshly made and didn't taste right. Our waiter was young, inexperienced and unprofessional. I thought he was not polite towards us. One colleague was a vegan and asked if the Mediterranean platter was vegan and the waiter said yes. The waiter came with it and the platter had a red colored dip/spread served with it, next to the hummus spread. The waiter insisted it was vegan. He checked with someone at the bar, came back and said it was vegan. The rest of us told him to check with the kitchen, as we tried the dip and u can definitely taste the cheese!!! Maybe feta? After actually inquiring with the kitchen, the waiter came back and said yes it's not vegan, and did not even apologize! How is it possible that this place got 4+ stars?!!!!The only star I can give is to the bartender coz our cocktails were amazing!!

First visit here, and I'd like to eventually go back. Sean (or is it spelled Shawn?) was our bartender for the evening and he definitely gave us a five star experience. He was chill, funny, and courteous. He knows how to make a good looking mocktail and to bring you out of your shell! I enjoyed the food here, though I hadn't asked what was made in-house/from scratch, if anything really was (e.g. the fries, if they used precut/pre-shaped chicken vs. whole chickens washed, cut, seasoned etc. in the kitchen). I had also been starving by the time that we arrived and it was late, so, my unchecked hunger from back then versus the clarity I have now absolutely differ. To start, the Habanero & Mango Wings were good--definitely on the smaller end and looking back, for $18.00, that's steep. They were the kind of chicken wing that you see everywhere else, so I'm unable to justify the price point. Honestly, many of these spots serving chicken wings serve the EXACT same wings and I'm tired of it. Yes, these were seasoned well, but they should be of higher quality due to the price. For the main, I got the Chicken Sandwich (Fried) with the Parmesan Truffle Fries. I wasn't too keen on the sandwich actually. It was pretty good, but again, the chicken had me wondering about the overall quality in my head. I did love the Parmesan Truffle Fries. I'm unsure if they just got them from out of a bag, or put in the extra effort to buy high quality potatoes, wash them, peel them, cut them, fry them and season them up themselves. We got the Crispy Calamari as well, and I enjoyed those too. We hadn't finished all of the food and got the rest to go. The total price including tip came to over $100 between two folks. As I said, steep, especially when you're unsure about the quality in the end. I would still recommend this restaurant, which has a cool free working space in the public lounge right next door to it that's open everyday. The presentation and aesthetics were on point. Overall, I would perhaps rate the food 3-3.5/5, mocktail 5/5, and service 5/5! Thank you~

First experience of Boston set the bar HIGH. A beautiful day, a great view from the outside seating area, and the food was so, so incredible. You know the food is good when a party of 8 goes absolutely silent once they start eating! Pictured is the falafel naanwich, and it exceeded my expectations by FAR; and I definitely recommend upgrading to the truffle fries. Pricing is fair for the quality and portion; we struggled to finish everything! Our server Luke, though the restaurant was busy (lunch rush!), was well attentive and handled requests quickly, especially for such a large party. I can easily recommend Gather to anyone visiting the area.

Came here because it was recommended by a few friends that stayed in the boston area. The place has a great vibe, friednly staff and the music was at a decent level. There was an engagement party going on but even then everything was running amoothly. Tried the New england clam chowder and tbh it was so good. We all overed different things and everything tasted fresh. Steak, burger, lobster & salmon. I would absolutely go there. After dinner you can walk to the waterfront and walk off the delicious food you ate. Def recommend

Went here for an event. Great ambience, food was good, and service was warm and good.

The food was great and the waiter was very appropriate, nice and polite. It was a fun little dinner. Towards the end when we were paying for our bill last night 10/17/2023 around 8-830, the waiter had processed someone else's bill on my card rather than mine. The bill was about $10 less than my bill which wasn't a problem. People make mistakes. What threw me off was that there wasn't an alternative way to go about the mistake. I paid for a $140 meal mistakenly and then had to pay again, $155 right after because my bank had already processed both payments. What really concerned me is that the waiter didn't ask or allow me to sign the second transaction or let me to tip myself, he tipped himself for me so that was very concerning and didn't sit right with me. I asked him what about signature and tip? He said “oh I just processed 18% tip because I figured you guys wouldn't want to tip more than that because I messed up you payment the first time”. This made me uncomfortable because he took money from me without my consent and without my awareness of it. I felt robbed and like I didn't have a say in the money being taken from me considering tip wasn't included already and wasn't mandatory. I think Gather needs to be careful and aware of that type of things because waiters should not be tipping themselves with other people's money. I hope they talk with him about it and don't allow that again. Thanks

The food and vibe from Gather were amazing! My espresso ☕ martini was ??. I will come back for weekend brunch with my good friend too. I recommend making your reservation if you're going to do a weekend brunch. I highly recommend it. The place is very cute!

The food was amazing! We had maple miso salmon and pan fried chicken. And seriously, it was one of the best salmon dishes I've ever had. The combination of flavours plus perfectly cooked salmon amazed me. The side vegetable was definitely a plus. Chicken dish was also very delicious (might be a bit spicy for some people). Its rich spiced sauce was the highlight in our opinions. We came in late, but the staff were still nice and accommodating. It was late, there were no other guests and it was also dark. So I can't command too much on atmosphere, but I'm sure it's great.

Half indoor and half outdoor. Late night dinner coming in. Not crowded. Nice service. Every thing we ordered is delicious. May be good ideas to get together. Not for date night.

Rude staff with attitude, wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat here, the waiters pulled her face when we asked for a table for six even though they weren’t busy! Avoid

Did Sunday brunch, and it did not disappoint. Juevos Rancheros were amazing and it was probably the best waffles I have ever had. Service was not great though. Took 10 minutes for us to even get served and our drink order came out the same time as our food. Not to mention on top of that we didn’t get a check in on how the food was until essentially the meal was completed. Overall the food was incredible but the service is the bit of a blemish.
