I love fried chicken and Thai food so naturally had to give Ghost King Thai a try! I got the box combo to go which includes 2 chicken thighs, shrimp chips, sticky rice, papaya salad, and a dipping sauce for $17 along with their funfetti cookie dough sundae. I ordered in advance online and my order was ready within 20 minutes for pickup. The chicken was crunchy, garlicky, and had a ton of flavor. I love spicy food so I got it hot and they definitely delivered the heat - it creeps up on you though as a heads up! I also enjoyed all the sides included in the combo box, I didn't end up using the sauce included that much since you already get a ton of flavor from the glaze on the chicken and the saltiness of the papaya salad. For dessert, the funfetti cookie dough sundae was too sweet for my taste but it was still good. I think it needs something extra to cut the sweetness but if you have a big sweet tooth this would fulfill a childhood craving.

We were super excited to try this pop up and ordered the boxed meal and four piece chicken. The chicken was good- very crispy and had unique flavors. Unfortunately we waited 30 minutes for our pickup order. Placed an order ahead of time online for pick up at 615 pm and when we arrived the food wasn't started yet.

Been here a few times. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Pick up was smooth. We tried the Funfetti Cookie Dough, Fried Chicken bucket, Fried Chicken sandwich, Fried Chicken Meal Box and a few drinks (thai ice tea & matcha green tea). Everything was delicious and favorful. The thai Chili sauce is super spicy. A must try

A spicy, tangy, and crunchy explosion in your mouth! The chicken was so crunchy and juicy even after the 30 min ride home before it made its way to my mouth. The chicken box was a perfect combo with the rice and papaya salad as a complement. I thought the jam was unnecessary and distracting from the already flavorful chicken so I'll be skipping it next time. The restaurant is actually part of Turo and comes out of their kitchen so it can be a little confusing to figure out if you are at the right place. Really loved their retro and fun graphics as part of the experience. Highly recommend for any fried chicken lovers!

The best fried chicken I've ever had. As a fan of thai food and fried chicken, this is a perfect combo. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, just the complete pinnacle of fried chicken. You can tell that classically trained chefs made this as the balance is so perfect. If you have good taste in adventurous food, this place is for you. The haters giving anything less than 5 stars here have no clue what they are talking about. If I'm on my death bed and I have one evening left to live, I'm ordering this chicken.

To the dude on here who said chicken breast is better than thigh, I've never hated someone more.

I feel like a bit disappointed. We ordered both hot and mild fried chicken, tastes good but not spicy at all.... The "hot hot hot" tastes like "extremely mild" and the mild tastes like "sweet & non-spicy". Definitely expected ghost pepper level spicy but ended up with meh. Also the waitress who took our order wasn't really welcoming (ironically standing behind a board saying "welcome", I guess they work for toro?).. also they can't do separate spicy level in a same order but the price for ordering four pieces separately is the same as ordering all together, so why not..? Anyway, i feel like it's either they messed up our order, or they just not worth the hype.

Definitely some great fried chicken and we were thrilled this location has papaya salad and thought we would order a seperate order for it. Turns out a seperate order comes just like a small side you would get from the combo meal, and honestly $5.75 for a maybe two bites is little steep for us.

We tried the Funfetti Cookie Dough, Fried Chicken bucket, Fried Chicken sandwich, Fried Chicken Meal Box and a few drinks (thai ice tea&matcha green tea). A must try.

It's pretty average for me. It's not something I would return for though, but I like Thai food and spicy chicken. I thought the combo might work. You should try it once for yourself though. PROS: Good spice level. If you're into spicy chicken thighs, this might be your place. CONS: So many places do sticky rice, and I've never seen a $5 price tag on a tiny baggy of it. Swing by a Thai place in your way home and get a solid helping for $2 to go with your chicken from here. Imagine getting 3 orders for $15 versus $6. They only do chicken thighs, which is a bit disappointing. I know they're fatty and give more flavor, but l prefer the breast myself. More bang for your buck with a tender white meat breast. This is a preference for me with fried chicken, but the thigh has it's place in grilling. The extra fat is great on the grill, but less so when deep frying chicken. The papaya salad on the sandwich doesn't work for me. Normally a spicy chicken sandwich incorporates coleslaw or something to ease the spice. Papaya salad is sort of bitter or sour normally. So it's not really balancing the flavors. It's also far from the best Som Tum I've ever had. The chicken is coated in a spicy jam. Which means you're not getting an even coating. It's sort of chunky in some bites and non existent in others. It's spread on top. OVERALL: I'll stick to my hot chicken tender spots and my Thai spots, but not mix them. It seems this is a combination that's not meant to be for me. Definitely give it a go. This might be your place, it just wasn't for me. I wished a tried the Toro place instead, where it is located. That food looks good

I saw this place pop up on Yelp and knew I had to try it. I ordered this via Yelp delivery. I got the boxed meal with the "hot hot hot" spice level. It came with two pieces of fried chicken with the hot sauce, papaya salad, sticky rice, shrimp chips and more chilli sauce. The takeout box kept the food hot. The rice and salad were in a plastic bag so they didn't get soggy or mix with the chicken. The fried chicken was so crisp! The "hot hot hot" spice level was too hot to handle, I'll try the mild option next time.

This is such a great new spot for spicy chicken! When I went they only had a spicy version available and IT REALLY IS SPICY! They now have a no spice option if you want to taste their delicious chicken without the spicy jam.The service was great and our food was ready for pickup the exact time we got to the restaurant. Our server was kind and we didn't wait at all.I got two box meals with two Thai teas. The box meals come with two pieces of fried chicken, sticky rice, shrimp chips, green papaya salad. Both of the boxes were exactly the same so don't worry about consistency!Fried Chicken: The chicken had such crazy crispy skin! After driving home for 30 minutes it was still crispy and the meat inside was juicy. The sauce on top is REALLY flavorful and I thought it went well with the other items in the box. I thought it had a nice spice which wasn't too much but left a nice heat on your tongue. If you don't like spice thought it will be wAYYYY too spicy for you so stick to the no spice option.Sticky Rice: This tasted like normal sticky rice and was great with the chicken or the salad!Papaya Salad: This salad had so many flavors, it was really refreshing to eat along with the chicken! Though it was waaaay too spicy for me it was perfect for my boyfriend. I thought the papaya salad was spicier than the chicken lol.Shrimp chips: These are the normal shrimp chips you eat. I think they were really nice to eat between the salad and the chicken and I even used it like a chip to hold the salad and chicken![invited]

If you like it hot you’ll love this Chicken. Definitely get a side a ranch as well. Even after getting it delivered, it was still crispy!

I was really pleased with GKT. The chicken is super crunchy and flavorful, and the chile jam was delicious. It was surprisingly spicy (like a 6/10), too.I wasn't in love with the sticky rice or papaya som yum, but you can just get the chicken itself in a bucket, which is dope.Even despite not loving the sides, GKT is probably my second favorite of the several new chicken spots opening up all over Boston. The super crunchy chicken and spicy jam are stupid good.

I didn't know that this place operates out of the bar Toro. Not to knock bar food, but had I know this was coming out of a bar, I would have tempered my expectations. I ordered the fried chicken meal box. I'm surprised that a place that only specializes in one thing could do it so poorly. Chicken: The breading on the chicken was crisp, and that was really the only positive about it. The flavoring of the breading had an unpleasant bitter note that could not be covered up by the "jam" they added atop it. Although I'm no expert, I have had enough Asian fried chicken (Thai, Korean, and Japanese) to know that the flavor profile was atypical. Sides: The sticky rice was on the dry side. The papaya salad was fine as far as papaya salad goes. I got 2.25 shrimp chips... In the end, the meal was overpriced and not good. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for fried chicken or Thai food.
