It was a bit of a wait, but completely worth it. Great energy and delicious food. The staff are hardworking people and very friendly. Chicken parm was great but the bruschetta was the best I’ve tasted. Great area too!
I visited Gigi (formerly Casa Giacomo) twice over Boston Marathon weekend for dinner and had delightful experiences. The food was excellent and the atmosphere pleasant. I'd like to commend the staff - particularly Cameron and Christopher - who made my visits memorable. They personify kindness, warmth, and a generosity of spirit. I'll be back during my next Boston visit!
I visited this place 4 years ago and the food was delicious, and now with the new ownership its delightful! I've been all over wine country in Italy and their Italian wine selection was diverse from many regions. We sat at the bar and our bartender was pleasant and enjoyable to watch him make drinks ?. I would return to try other dishes.
Owners of Kava Taverna & Ilona took over the old Giacomos, gave it a much needed facelift with cozy modern vibes & a great menu! Share a number of plates between friends.
Giacomo's is a historical family-owned restaurant, was there for decades. Their food is exceptional, Lobter ravioli or any dish with Giacomo sauce!!!, they accept cash only, as many other bakeries and restaurants in north end- be aware :)
Overwhelming amount of Italian eatiers in the north end. Decided to just pick a spot. Waited in line for about 10 mins, seated smack dab in middle of tiny dining room. Waited on almost instantly, even though the placed was super busy. Brought out a bread basket, 3 slices of bread for 2 people, no butter. Ordered a glass of prosecco, delicious! Ordered the special, 1/2 lobster, mussels and clams over linguine with choice of sauce. Went with Fra diablo, heaven! Food was fantastic, but very messy! Would definantly recommend!
I should have known better than to take my Italian girlfriends to an Italian restaurant in Little Italy. They're all excellent cooks and I can tell you this is not an Italian restaurant. We boarded wine and we asked the waitress for a glass of dry Chardonnay she told us she doesn't drink wine and she doesn't really know which other wines are dry The calamari was dry and peppers in it. One friend ordered ziti and meatballs marinara meatballs were hard the Ziti was not ziti it's mostaccioli when confronting the waitress she said that said no it's mostacholi she said oh well I'm Italian but I didn't know the difference. The olive oil is bland the way just said they only had a little bit of Parmesan cheese left in the restaurant. None was so the table. Another friend had Ziti with shrimp scallops broccoli in a scampi style very bland served again with mostaccioli not ziti Eggplant parmesan was good not amazing. When we first arrived they asked a couple to move out of a table of four while they were eating for we could sit down . Embarrassing for both of us.
Great service, authentic Italian ? Must have: Fettuccini Prosciutto with peas.
Food is always amazing. Had dessert for the first time and it was soooo good.
This restaurant was recommended by a parking attendant at our hotel and we are so glad that we tried it. Excellent food and fast service for such a busy place. We did wait outside for a bit but we were early for our reservation and felt we waited for a reasonable time. When seated, you may be practically sharing a table with other guests but everyone we encountered was friendly and even giving advice on what to order. Being a Mainer, I tried the lobster ravioli and (very unlike my usual meal) ate the entire plate in one sitting. I just couldn’t stop! My boyfriend tried the chicken and broccoli in garlic cream sauce and it was delicious too. Very enjoyable! And very reasonably priced too!

Mamma mia. Very good food and ambience. The service was very professional, helped us carefully from the beginning and provide good suggestions.First we were offered good bread and decent olive oil. Then we got fried calamari as appetizer which was good but there were better ones in Rhode Island. The home mode fussili pastas with aubergine as veggie option and with lobster & shrimp is delicious. The portion size is quite huge. And the tiramisu, one of the best in Boston. Words cannot define that.
Small, comfortable and welcoming Italian restaurant with delicious food and fantastic customer service. Very budget friendly as well.
Food was served quickly, servers were very attentive and friendly and food was delicious.
Wow! What a Great Find! Homemade pasta, great sauce choices, amazing food, wines and Omg the Almond dessert !!! Mostly seafood choices but chicken and veal too! Awesome staff and incredible portions! Very good prices for being downtown Boston!
Food is very tasty. Ambiance is relaxed. I give 5/5 for that. However, customer service is very weird. It writes CASH ONLY everywhere and the head waiter / manager is so pushy to customers to eat fast and leave so that they can get new customers in to get more CASH. If you are looking for tasty Italian food and eat fast and go it may be the place for you.
