Went there for jazz brunch on a Saturday - surprisingly the restaurant wasn’t busy. The band playing that day (Yoron Israel) was incredible and the atmosphere was really nice and cozy! The brunch food was delicious. Would totally recommend!!

The service was great! Our servers didn’t forget about us, and were helpful and served us kindly. For the food, I highly recommend the creole pasta, it was great! The empanadas were inconsistently cooked and somewhat dry. The crab cakes were underwhelming. The live music on Saturday night was a good genre that was fitting for a fun and romantic ambience. However, the music was a little too loud, if we could have some ear buds/noise dampeners that would have been great. We don’t drink alcohol, so it was unfortunate that the non alcoholic drinks section of the menu was very limited, and ordering mocktail non alcoholic drinks still comes from the bar so we got charged as if we bought alcohol. Overall, a good experience for the main meals of oxtail and creole pasta. The oxtail was juicy and flavored — the only negative was that it was coated in some alcohol flavoring which surprised us and seemed unnecessary as it only detracted from the oxtail which itself was well cooked (the meat was falling off the bone!! 😋)

So I went for the first time recently and I had an amazing time. This place is arguably the best Black Restaurant and Best Restaurant period in Boston. The location and interior of the place are so luxurious and the food I got which were the Oxtail & Grits, and Cast Iron Mac & Cheese were so flavorful, and the drinks I got were the Miami Beach and Black Gold were some of the most creatively tasteful alcoholic drinks I’ve ever had. Combined with Great service from people and a well alive atmosphere featuring musical entertainment will definitely have me comeback again.

I really wanted to enjoy my experience here, especially as I was excited to support a Black-owned business, but unfortunately the service and overall atmosphere left me disappointed.
From the start, the host greeted us with attitude and did not make us feel welcome. Once we were seated, our server—who seemed like a good person, just overwhelmed—forgot our drinks. We waited nearly 30 minutes before they finally arrived, and by then the foam was gone and the sparkling wine had gone flat.
We decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and ordered two appetizers and two entrées. The appetizers came out quickly, but the entrées were brought to the table at the same time, which meant they were left sitting and cooling while we were still eating. Our waiter did notice our confusion and offered to re-fire the entrées, but at that point we had lost confidence in the service and chose to just pay for the appetizers and leave.
On top of the service issues, the live music—while appreciated—felt mismatched with the venue’s vibe. The musicians, who seemed to be college students, were casually dressed in t-shirts and shorts, which lowered the overall atmosphere.
We left feeling slighted and disappointed by the service, food execution, and ambiance. Unfortunately, this isn’t a place I would return to or recommend.

From Lloyd to Aidan, this was an unforgettable experience!
I ended up going on Sunday after missing out on Saturday night — and wow, I heard Saturday’s show was incredible. Even so, Sunday did not disappoint. The energy, the people, the vibe — everything was on point from start to finish. I ordered the calamari for appetizers and mt main course was oxtails and grits. Chef’s kiss🥰!
Whether you’re there for the music, the food, or just the atmosphere, this is the kind of experience that stays with you. This is top of pf my list the next time I’m in Boston!

Grace by Nia is a Vibe!
My daughter and I flew up from Charlotte for the HBCU Essence Classic football game at Harvard for Labor Day weekend and a friend recommended we visit this jewwl in the seaport district!
The jazz band “The Real Willie Soul” was the truth! We were singing and vibing along for an hour or so! The food was scrumptious! We started with Crabcakes with whipped guacamole over greens and I had the cocktail- “In Between the Sheets” . I had the Blackened Salmon and she ordered the Cajun Pasta. Our first time in Boston and it did not disappoint!

Food was not good especially for what it costs. Wish they would've kept and transitioned Daryl's Kitchen chef, menu, and flavor over here to Nia by Grace instead of what they currently offer and serve. Steak, chicken, and biscuits were dry. Service and vibe was good but unfortunately food was not. I really wanted to like this place but was disappointed. Please bring back Daryl's!!

The ambiance here is phenomenal—beautifully designed and really sets the stage for a great evening. The food was great. The hostess was rather flat and not especially welcoming, which didn’t create the best first impression. Also, the tables are very close together, so it’s hard not to overhear the conversations around you. With a warmer welcome and a bit more space between tables, this place could really shine. I LOVE the live band!

It was my first time visiting Grace by Nia, I was not expecting to pay a entertainment fee with my dinner. They should let you know in advance. Also they need to learn how to do the invoices per personnel. Stop reviewing your tip before the person leave. If you get one you get one. If you don't , you just don't.

This place is like a hidden gem. It has a very cool atmosphere. Great for a date night. The live entertainment gave us the total experience. The drinks were thirst quenching! Staff were very personable and gave great recommendations. Also I love to see how dressed and fashionable people are when they come

My favorite in Boston. I just love it!
Great service great atmosphere!
I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant and had such a memorable experience! The service was excellent, attentive, friendly, and made the evening feel extra special. The ambiance was just right stylish, cozy, and perfect for a celebration. But the highlight of the night was the live singer absolutely incredible! Their voice set the perfect mood and truly elevated the whole evening. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place with great vibes, great service, and even better music.
