As always, Little Whale did not disappoint. Service is friendly and there when you want more, not when you don't. Best seafood on Newbury .

Delightful wine and oyster bar with excellent service by Jonathan. Great white wine selections. We enjoyed the crab toast, the anchovies, and the lobster spaghetti which was terrific to share as well. We started and ended with oysters! Great local neighborhood feel!

Excellent, fresh seafood with a very approachable comfy vibe. I'm the expensive side but can't beat the weekly $2 oyster specials!

Love the Lobster Roll here, the White wine wasn't bad either! Always happy to return here whenever I'm in Boston.

If you want to eat oysters in Boston, you have a lot of options. We tried Little whale oyster bar one night and it was really worth it. The food was good. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing. For such a small place, they know how to do it right. The oysters were really fresh. The fish and chips were soooo good.

We wandered in on a Friday afternoon and were very pleasantly surprised. The service was quick and attentive. We had oysters, tuna tartar, lobster roll, and crab toast. All was great but the tuna and lobster rolls were the best. Definitely stopping in on my next trip!

disappointing to say the least. My sister and I are visiting and saw this place and decided to get food, the host greeted us and was very nice and sat us at the bar. Immediately when we are settling down, one of the staff members who was carrying food stood staring at my sister to sit down when the polite thing was to say excuse me instead of looking visibly annoyed at her taking a bit. On top of that the girl who was by the bar and the bar tender did not say one word to us or greet us, it’s really unwelcoming when you come across as welcoming to others and NOT everyone because it makes you think why aren’t we deserving of the same treatment? We immediately left because of the service , we already knew where it was headed.

Solo traveller.
Amazing lobster roll and sparking rose. It had been a DAY. But Melissa gave time and attention and I felt like I ended it on a positive note. Working on customer experience, those small moments can make the difference in someone’s day.

The food was stunning but the service capped it off.

I decided to give this restaurant a try because on the OpenTable app they offered me a $50 discount with the reservation. But much to my surprise I had the $50 discount on the app the night before I made the reservation and then once I arrive to the restaurant suddenly The $50 discount had disappeared once the check arrived. I feel like it's a bait and switch and they overcharged me and bathed me with the $50 discount just to get me in the door. Don't fall for this trick.P

Lovely little spot with a variety of oysters. The place has two levels with the downstairs being the main part. Service was great. I fell in love with moon shoal and norumbega, they were a delight.
