Had a business dinner at Little Whale and it was excellent from start to finish. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance—upscale yet relaxed, making it ideal for conversation. We ordered the clams & linguine, classic fish and chips, clam chowder, and steak frites—each dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The seafood tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the steak was cooked just right. Service was attentive and professional without feeling rushed, adding to the overall great experience. Highly recommend Little Whale for both business and social meals—wonderful food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming New England charm.

Great spot! Food, service, ambiance were all spot on. It is tight inside though and not accessible for wheelchair users

Wonderful lobster roll! I couldn't decide between hot or cold. Hmm, hot butter or cold mayo - decisions decisions decisions! 😂. I ended up with the hot one and it definitely did not disappoint! Thankfully, not too much butter and it was delicious!!! A little spend-y ($54), but it was just what I craved during my time in Boston!

Lovely and quaint interior. Food is delicious. Service pretty snappy. Approachable wine list.

The crab toast was fantastic. We had a fairly late booking, 9pm, and we felt somewhat as if we were rushed through our meal.

Oysters were amazing!!!! Service was wonderful and the crab tagliatelle was delicious! Highly recommend!

Brussels sprouts undercooked. Tuna steak burger quite expensive considering run of the mill bun and french fries as at McDonalds

Little Whale came highly recommended by a foodie friend of ours and it didn't disappoint. Brought some family from out of town there and they were blown away. Everything was so fresh and well presented. My cousin said it was the best fish & chips he's ever had. The oyster selection and presentation was also fantastic!

Flew to Boston with my girlfriend really looking forward to lobster rolls. I did my research and this was one of the places with high ratings. Our service was great. Our drinks were great. We were seated it at the bar, not a table which I thought was odd, but perhaps I didn't research the seating well enough. While the lobster roll was edible it was very small, had tiny little pieces of lobster and was served with a side of fries for $55. Quite disappointing.

What a sweet place. I had the special on oysters...$2 each for up to a dozen. Oysters were impeccably fresh, wine was great, and service was fabulous. Highly recommend.

The Online menu advertised Arctic Char but they changed the menu in the restaurant without correcting it online so it was not available. There is no manager on site on a Friday night or apparently ever, to discuss the false advertising. Apparently the “Little Whale” is the “Little” red headed step child of the big fancy big whale. Little Whale clients apparently aren't worth the bigger whales time. I cancelled another reservation of 4.6 stars specifically to get the Arctic Char here. The inside seating was so ice cold, we were shivering the whole time as were the two tables next to us. An incredible server by the name of Melissa, came to our rescue and obtained Arctic Char from their sister Big Whale restaurant. That by itself was amazing. Unfortunately, the kitchen served us warm, raw fish (arctic char) instead of the proper temperature. We would only go back if we were guaranteed that Melissa would assist us. She is the only Gem of this restaurant. She deserves a 10 out of 5 stars for almost saving the night; if only the cooking staff had cooperated.

Loved the bluefish dip! Really fresh and good flavor combo with the strawberry. Steak frites and Brussels sprouts were okay. Sat outside on the street which is my preference but there is a small underground bar and table tops. Service is okay!

Wonderful spot we stopped in last min. For some wine and oysters! It was epic! They had a huge selection of both wine and oysters. The days deal for oysters were great but for sure try the others!!!! Found many I have never had and loved everyone! I will come back when I am east again!

We did not have a good experience at the Little Whale. The food was overpriced as it was average at best. The seafood tower was ok. My major issue was the service was terrible probably because the waiter (thin no hair ) knew he was getting a 20% mandatory tip without letting us know until the bill showed up. We were only 4 people usually I would expect this with a 6 or more party. I would not recommend this place.

Michele and Yaqui are the best! Guided us through a delicious cuisine and made sure we were satisfied with our choices. Norumbega's are where it's at with oysters!
