Don’t know why this isn’t scored higher!! The food is hot and fresh out the kitchen! Servings are large! This isn’t an American Chinese dim sum. It’s in China town! I highly recommend!

Food (dim sum, lunch, on a Sunday) was mediocre, service was good, prices cheap, short wait time. Did not order from menu, just picked dishes from the carts, except for sweet tofu and shrimp hargow, other dishes were not not the best.

I have been coming to Hei La Moon for weekend dim sum carts for over 12 years. (See the picture at the very end from 2013). The food quality ranges from very good to excellent, with the one exception being the pork buns, which I would rate as simply “good”. The shine on them is very nice, but the pork filling is not as generous as some other places. The dumplings are always on the medium- large size, compared to some restaurants, so for the price point, I think we are getting a good deal. In fact, I have seen some of the reviews compare the pricing and say it’s high, but based on other dim sum restaurants we've been to, the dumplings here are larger and, thus, priced correctly for their size.Service was really spotty. Never received anyone coming to our table to ask if we wanted anything. I probably would have ordered Bubble tea. We had to flag somebody down for water, and they never came, so we had to flag somebody else down. But we loved the fact that hot tea was on the table when we arrived. (The spotty service is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5).The carts came by with good frequency. At some places, they all come at once at the beginning, or you find yourself waiting for carts near the end of a meal, but these came with a nice frequency.I tried chicken feet here for the first time, and they were delicious! On my list to try for years! Did I use my fingers? Yes. Was it probably rude? Yes. But I was really trying to navigate eating them for the first time. Next time I will tackle them with chopsticks! The decor has changed over the years, and I love the decor now. The black and white floor is beautiful, and it seems bright and airy and cheerful. We are usually just a party of two or four, but it’s wonderful to know that they accommodate larger parties. We see lots of larger parties at the bigger tables enjoying themselves. We will come back each time we are in Boston. It is always a priority to come on the weekends for rolling carts.Parking: Don’t try to park in Chinatown! Take the orange line to the Chinatown stop and walk a couple of blocks.

Some of the best Asian food in Boston! Fast service too; food was served within 10 minutes of ordering and I was in and out within 20 minutes. The Eight Delights with Pan-Fried Noodles is the best.

Delicious lunch. All the traditional dishes cooked well. Need to ask for rice. Speaking Chinese is helpful.

This is one of my favorite dim sum restaurants purely because they serve dim sum at all times. No need to worry about timing - if you're craving it, you can go get it. The portions are generous and are noticeably less greasy, so I never have that heavy feeling that I sometimes get from other places.

Had dim sum there for dinner with my friend. The quality of dim sum was just okay. Definitely had better ones in New York and LA. It wasn’t too crowded around 5:30 PM on a Friday night. The good thing is one doesn’t have to wait for long for the food. The service is also very fast. Some of the dishes, for instance, stir fried rice noodle with beef could be a bit greasy. But overall, it was an okay experience.

Very rude and completely over charged us for food we didn’t order. Did not let us order on the menu and brought us food we did not eat and charged us.

Food was good and the service was actually very good. Can't complain. I would go back when back in Boston. Oh but I would stay away from Peking duck.
