Irashai Sushi was the first dinner we had while in Boston. It set the bar so high that every other meal just fell short. Definitely worth a visit

Standard Japanese restaurant for you to stop by. The vibe was not very "Japanese", but could get away in the Asian theme in general. They offer variety of dishes that you would find from a Japanese restaurant, curry, noodles, katsu, sushi, sashimi, nigiri etc.The sushi/sashimi plate I ordered was ok. Some of the served fish were in room temperature leaning toward the warmer side, which is a bit unsatisfied, however, their textures and freshness were good, no bad smell or squishy texture.Rice was reasonably seasoned to what you expected. The price was a bit high in my opinion (~$35 net per plate), but not too high that you cant bring friends over. The restroom was clean. The waiter/waitress were very active. Small note: they took my plate and cheque my table right away when I put down my chopsticks, even though no line or anything (I was the only customer at the time) I was genuinely going to get a dessert, but maybe for another time :)

Sushi was awesome! Service was slow due to lots of people and little staff. Stay patient and enjoy!

On March 24, Sunday evening, we visited the Irashai Sushi establishment and still cannot recover from the arrogance and open rudeness of the hostesses. We decided to clarify how long to wait for our order, to which the hostess replied I don't know and just turned her back, we were surprised, apologized and asked again, she said I don't know anything, we clarified, and who knows, please invite, to which the hostess suggested that we contact the chefs ourselves and clarify, after that we asked if we could talk to the manager, to which she replied that no, we asked her to introduce herself, she replied no, that she did not know her name. In earnest? Are you serious? How do you allow such blatant rudeness and unprofessionalism in communicating with customers at the level of cavemen, we live in the modern world, why in your establishment, instead of greetings from hostesses, we meet with rudeness, and we get humiliation for elementary questions. I urge the management to pay attention to this, because your staff, and in particular the hostess, behaves as if the establishment is operating offline, and it is doing customers a favor. If we had any free time, we would definitely file a complaint with the relevant authorities. I hope that other customers will have a little luck than us, because this is not the first time. Our friends have shared with us that they have also encountered the unfriendliness and unfriendly attitude of your hostess in your establishment. But what we are faced with is beyond the pale.

Horrible waitress. Kept taking away my dishes and drinks before I was done eating and drinking. She left her smile at home, too. Ruined the place for me.

Great place for lunch! Their lunch menu is very cheap and good. Tried the pork katsu. It was very crispy. Would come again for lunch!

Great selection of veggie rolls and appetizers for vegetarians. I got the Veggie Combo Deluxe, which included a mix of veggie rolls such sweet potato, asparagus, cucumber, avocado, and sweet tofu. The miso soup was also delicious. Can't wait to visit here again. The food was fresh and tasty. Service was great as well. There is a single person public restroom in the back.Vegetarian options: several vegetable maki rolls and would recommend the veggie deluxe for large assortment.

The sushi rolls were enjoyable, providing a tasty assortment of flavors. However, when I tried the combo sashimi dish, I was disappointed to find that most of the sashimi, including the salmon, yellowtail, and tuna, had a distinctly fishy taste.Parking: Parking lot nearby available for the weekend rates.

I’ve been here a few times but mainly because it is in a convenient location, and the lunch specials are cheap. I usually get the maki combo. The quality matches what you are paying for, so don’t expect anything mind blowing. Still, it is enough to satisfy a sushi craving.

One of my favorite spots in Boston, salmon dishes are great ! Tho couple of times(out of at least 25) some of the fish pieces were a tad frozen...
