This place is wonderful! So fresh, healthy, delicious, and flavorful! We live out of state, otherwise we would become regular customers. La Catrina is a great find!
Only Pro: they have a vegetarian menu.Cons:- they ran out of guacamole. Yep. You read that correctly.- my burrito was cold. I asked them to take it back, the next one was clearly microwaved as the lettuce inside was lava.- my wife’s cauliflower tacos were so sopping wet you couldn’t hold them. The cauliflower was so spicy (and we love spicy food) it was barely edible.- service was abysmally slowNever again.
This lovely restaurant presents beautifully crafted and mouthwatering dishes! I especially loved the De La Casa burritos, and the Cuatro Leches & Churros were to die for. And of course chips and salsa were perpetually delicious! Friendly staff, wonderful service, and both outdoor and indoor seating. I will be taking my family here!~ The Jamaica and coconut margaritas were divine for summertime.
This place has delicious food! I loved the enchiladas Rojas. I also have a lot of vegan friends and they have so many great vegan options! Also the bathroom has a really cool sink. Very fun!!
The food was provided in good quantity for the price paid and the taste was average.
Friendly waitstaff who will go the extra mile to make you something you would like!! Many "hidden" vegetarian or vegan dishes, and also the best steak tacos I have ever encountered (the meat is like butter). The margaritas are made in a traditional way (not so sweet !!) Which I just loved. It's not cheap but it's fair in price.
I wish I had chosen a different place to spend my hard earned money. I am super disappointed on the food, the quality, and presentation. The rice was super hard and the tortilla was burnt. I also ordered tacos and the presentation alone made me throw it away. I tasted it a bit and I should have trusted my eyes the first time. ?
I love La Catrina! This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the city for two reasons: the amount of amazing vegan options and their efforts toward sustainability. They do an amazing job with both. Their food is so flavorful! The only thing I would say is that the spice level is not consistent between times we order - I like spice so I don’t mind but if you are sensitive maybe make a note when you order. Also the vegan chickpea empanadas are a must try! They have good drinks too!
The place has such a unique look to it and the people are so friendly but, I just wasn't a fan of the food... I love Mexican food but that was a but of a let down.
Had the worst experience with food yesterday. The enchiladas were cold and the chicken was very hard and chewy inside. My daughter ordered quesadilla and it was terrible. The menu says 10 pieces and only 2 huge pieces with chicken and beans were literally thrown into it. The present of the food was so bad you don’t feel like eating it. Over all a really terrible experience. Will never visit this place again.

This is a solid restaurant in Allston. I ordered a plato mexicano with carnitas. Carnitas were tender and juicy, I just wish they were a tad more crispy. Ambiance/decor is great, feels like an authentic Mexican restaurant. Next time I’ll be trying a burrito. Prices aren’t bad at all for Boston, can’t really beat it in the area.
I love La Catrina! The food is great and the employees are super nice. I recently went to La Catrina for a company holiday party and they did a great job at setting up the event. Everyone enjoyed the food and the ambiance was perfect. We also got these wonderful margarita mix and cocktail shaker gifts as well, so nice! I highly recommend La Catrina to anyone in the area.
Amazing food and great customer service. The place is also super sanitize and clean.
We are staying at Hotel Boston just a few minute walk up the hill. My family and I just ate dinner here and it was fantastic. The lady who served us was very nice and the food was delicious. I wish I had a place like this at home. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area.
Little hidden gem in Brighton with outdoor seating. Tasty food with fresh ingredients. Caring chef/owner who went out of his way to make sure his customers were satisfied.
