Great good, service was great! So good we went twice while visiting Boston, in 2 different locations

The service was excellent! Went there in the afternoon based on friend's recommendation. We were invited to pick any seat we wanted near the bar area and had immediate service once we sat. We had a minor in our party and she asked if they had cherry cola and even though they didn't, the bartender/server offered to make her one using the cherry syrup that they use for mixed cocktails. She was super attentive and did not hesitate to keep making the special drink for our young guest. On our way out, the same bartender/server made recommendations for food orders for the next time we come and they were so good that we ended up going to another Legal Sea Foods location later that night with other friends and ordered her recommendations. It was all very good. We had the both the clam chowder, lobster bisque, lobster roll (traditional style), and their special at the time that was a fish salad like dish that I wish I could remember the name of...the portion was huge.

They close at 10, we arrived on 9. And they told us to leave cause they are not taking new customers. Unbelievable

One of the best seafood and service experiences in Boston. Amazing seafood. Always fresh and on point. We were sat in the bar area. And even with our server tending bar and waiting tables we never had an empty glass or a need not tended to quickly.

The octopus is so delicious: saffron aioli, tapenade, steamed red potatoes, roasted purple cauliflower. Highly recommend.

The server was not that efficient. It took around 7-10 mins for him to check in on me and give me water. The manager who was seating people actually got me the rolls. There was also sand in my linguini and clams. I think it was very overpriced too.

We enjoyed our meals. My gf enjoyed the ciopino. My friend had the crab cakes shrimp combo she enjoyed. I enjoyed my raw little necks and my blackened fish. I enjoyed the soy broccoli my my gf did not since it was too sweet for her. They brought her the asparagus instead. The joke about the asparagus side which is $8 dollars is that they give you just 4 asparagus for the $8. Come on Legal you must be kidding. Service was quick but not perfect. We asked to split the check but they did not do the split correctly. Other than that and some over little thing it was fine. This the reason for 4 and not 5 stars

Based on having had Legal Seafood Cioppino at another Boston area Legal Seafood Restaurant a year ago, I ordered it here. The presentation was nowhere near as good, and all of the items tasted overcooked. I did let our server know.
