Legal Seafoods does not disappoint. I had the sushi and they did a great job with it, and my wife and others had the scallop dinner, just very well done. The only slight drawback for us was how loud it can be, but this seems to be the norm these days, but we do prefer not to have to talk loud in order to be heard. It is a slight drawback but we still highly recommend.

Early dinner out with our family started great and ended poorly...there was a change in servers but we were told the food order was put in. The drinks came quickly and the chowder was delicious. But, the food took forever...reservation at 4:30 so definitely not rush hour. Other tables who had come after us were getting their food. Once the food arrived it was ALL overcooked. $350+ bill for severely overcooked seafood. How completely disappointing.

The location and ambience was fine. Having eaten at other Legal restaurants, I was looking forward to this venue. The food was average at best. I had the haddock with cracker crumbs, broccoli and rice. There were very few crumbs..the food was lukewarm at best. The broccoli was apparently grilled but hardly cooked ( quite hard to eat). The lobster bisque was ok, not superior for sure. Upon leaving I used the restroom and there was NO toilet paper. Fortunately I carry tissue in my purse. I expect the prices to be above average so that was no surprise but I do like to get what I pay for

A great location with a view of the bay, and the staff was completely lovely, helping take pictures of me and my child, and giving excellent recommendations. They were quick to take our order, and check in on us without being intrusive.

We had a large table with some people with special dietary needs; our server was outstanding in taking care of everything. I'm so sorry I did not write down her name but I just can't say enough about how she handled our table of 8 on a busy Saturday night. Food and ambience were great, view of the harbor magnificant, just the best experience.

Service was excellent. We arrived a bit early for our 6 PM reservation and were seated immediately and on a busy Sat night, this was appreciated. The Vodka martini was excellent and our sushi rolls were very good. We shared a Boston Cream Pie, it was very good!

Legal's use to be the pinnacle of seafood restaurants in and around Boston, a place you would choose for a business meal, and the place I would unanimously recommend to out-of-town visitors. Our experience at this Legal's was "just ok". The furniture (bench seats) we sat on were pretty old with torn material, and the food was "just ok" (my wife's meal was significantly undercooked). The waitress did a great job to salvage the situation, and provided great service. My new recommendation to out-of-town visitors looking for seafood will be that this Legal's is "just ok"; not bad, but no longer great.

Our food was excellent. Our server was attentive but not pushy. This location is right on the Boston Harbor, and the restaurant has amazing views. We had the bread, lobster bisque, clam chowder, and a slew of entrees. Everything was perfectly cooked, the seafood was VERY fresh, and the portions were generous, but not overwhelming. We will definitely be back!

The food is delicious. Good, big portions. They have great options for kids too. The service was amazing. My only complaint is that it is a bit more expensive than we typically pay for a night out with a family of four. This is a special occasion place for our family.

Was in Boston so had to visit Legal Seafood. Had their signature lobster roll, seafood platter, and New England clam chowder. The lobster roll is huge, but it should be at $43. It's your basic buttered bread stuffed full with quality, fresh lobster meat, and plenty of thick cut fries. The clam chowder is among the best I've had. The seafood platter was slightly disappointing. Good, but nothing absolutely special. Decent quantity of scallops, shrimp, calamari, and fish, and more fries. This particular Legal Seafood does have a nice view of the back bay. We are on a rainy Sunday afternoon so it wasn't crowded at all. Special deal: sign up for their rewards program the day before you go and you get a buy one get one free lobster roll - $43 savings.

Took my 10 year old mentee out for her birthday. She loved their seafood soup with lobster, clams, shrimp, etc. We had calamari as an appetizer and I tried a non alcoholic cocktail what was delicious and tasted like strawberries. I had their steak which was cooked to perfection. I don't like seafood but I did have a bite of the calamari (pressured by my mentee lol) and it was actually tasty!

Service was prompt but not very friendly. It seemed like they spoke to me the bare minimum. For $19 I got the saddest looking turkey club with chips and coleslaw. I at least thought the chips would be more "home made" and not a tossed on my plate. I guess airport standards are different. I rarely eat at the airport but found myself here way too early. Turkey club 8/10Luckily, the club as pretty good. It's just a sad portion and display for $19 granted I am in the airport. I'll eat before I come next time or pick somewhere else where portions seemed more appropriate for the price.

We always enjoy our dining experiences at Legal. This was no exception and I had the best gluten free fried scallops I have ever had. My husband had fresh oysters and grilled octopus and was very happy, too. The view at the window was beautiful and although it was cold outside, it was warm, cozy, and inviting inside.

Ambience is not there. Noisy, tables too close together, tables not large enough to hold all plates. I like the other Legal Seafood locations much better. For the cost of the meal, I expected more overall. Also made a note in my reservation it was for a retirement celebration, and no acknowledge was made for that, while there was acknowledgement of a birthday celebration at the bench behind us.

Legal's is our go-to in Seaport for excellent food, a varied and large menu, and great service. Our server George was friendly and attentive. I had the "fresh catch" grilled scallops with asparagus and broccoli on the side -- all delicious. Two of our party had the nori-chili crusted yellowfin tuna and loved it.
