We were in Chinatown but couldn't find anything to eat, so on our way back north, we found Lotus Test Kitchen. The food was excellent, and hit the spot! You can choose rice or noodle base with meat and veg, salad on the other side of the bowl. Tasted great, and 1 bowl was enough for 2 people.
Inside has very limited seating and hot, so it might be better for takeout.
There was a discount to order online, so check that out.

The meat was good very well in the bowl the pork belly was amazing and we balanced well with the rice and salad. My friend got the unagi and the eel was fresh and the toppings were delicious, the sauces complemented the meals well. We also got tea with citrus and it tasted great, the bursting lemon with black tea was balanced well and was nice on a hot day.

Salad Bowl: Japanese salad w/ tofu. Ginger dressing was extremely tasty although my salad needed more. To much boring lettuce & corn. Not a fan of the corn but the pickled daikon was ridiculously tasty š.
The price was right and I will definitely come back. Overall Iād rate it with a B+.

Staff that took my order was so sweet and personable, they helped me choose my order and accommodated me with my preferences. The portions are generous and the food was just as delicious.
