The food and service were wonderful, making up for the very loud environment. Maybe it's just very loud on a Saturday night?? In any event, we'd do it all over again.

The entire restaurant is super loud - I'm not sure why anyone chooses to yell at each other here. I had the orecchiette pasta based on the server's recommendation. It was bland and watery. If you can't make a pasta in Boston's legendary North End that is better than a basic New York Times recipe, then you have no business being there. Save your hearing and palate and eat somewhere else.

made reservations last minute thru open table and everything went so smoothly!! our second time here and the food was just as delicious and well-presented as the first time!! everything came out timely and the ambience was perfect for a date night, 10/10 recommend :)

Lucca and the various restaurants in Boston's Little Italy are nicely appointed and busy; Lucca and Saracena next door , unfortunately, are disappointing in terms of the quality of the food and very expensive with their wines. I need to clarify here: the food is ok, but not up to what I expected. For example, bolognese sauce should not be primarily tomato based, at Lucca it is. At Saracena, our veal dishes were not pounded thin and therefore were chewy. At our next visit we will definitely seek out the smaller, less commercialized restaurants. We love the area, it surpasses NYC's Little Italy in its heyday, but I think the larger restaurants rely on volume and likely cut corners.

Food, drinks and service were absolutely awesome. STEVEN our waiter was wonderful. Very well attended to by multiple helpers, water, bussers and waiter himself. Pretty loud downstairs even though we were way over in a corner, but this was not a big deal really. We ran 45 mins late because of miserable traffic and manager/greeter was absolutely wonderful and patient holding our reservation. Overall incredibly impressed with Lucca North end.

Great food, fresh pasta. I thought it was very reasonably priced considering it's Boston. High end, but still acceptable to be in casual clothes.

Everything about Lucca was excellent! The service might have exceeded the food if that's possible! Already looking forward to my next visit. Byron Williams

Food was amazing but we got put in the basement and it was super loud. Not quite as beautiful as upstairs. Awesome staff.

Dinner with friends from out of town. Everyone loved the bruschetta and the watermelon salad, which were really delicious. I don't usually get an appetizer unless there are other people to share it with. My husband and I had the scallops, which were sweet, tender and delicious. The complimentary bread was delightful as well. Our friends loved what they got and we had such a great time we went out and walked 5 miles in the dark, meandering all through the North End, downtown and part of Back Bay, fueled by a delicious dinner.

It's always a great experience at Lucca, from the host to the bartender the staff never fails to impress. Thank you guys!

The garlic cheese bread appetizer is absolutely magical! I highly recommend. The lobster ravioli was also delicious.

Fast service. Waiter also super forthcoming. He told us one of our meals wasn't fired, but neither me nor my date thought it had been a long time at all. We were still eating and enjoying the experience, and I was really enjoying it! I started to realize this was the first time I had been to a restaurant and had felt attended to in a long time. When our check came, waiter brought 2 unsolicited espresso martini shots as a gesture for the entrees being (what he considered) late. Super impressed!

First time eating at Lucca. Was able to get a last minute reservation even though it was a feast weekend! Our server was excellent and even made the drink he recommended to me himself. The food was amazing, especially the shrimp and corn pasta dish. Can't wait to come back!

Loved Luca's - great location in the North End, welcoming staff, attentive service and delicious food. My husband had the veal chop and said it was the best he's ever had! I had the cannelloni and it was so yummy! Our server Billy was excellent! And a lot of fun! So glad we discovered Lucca! We'll be back
