Absolutely love Lucca food and service. I went there to get the lobster ravioli with someone else and we were going to split. So the staff graciously had it plated in two different dishes. The food is amazing. The staff is amazing. A must for anyone coming to the north end.

I want to give this restaurant 5 stars because our entrées were so good, but the experience was otherwise lacking. Our waitress barely attended to us and we spent a good part of our evening waiting for her to reappear at different times. She also entirely forgot to bring one of the dishes we ordered. The restaurant was also very loud so we couldn’t hear each other well.

The service was exceptional. Every person we interacted with was happy, professional and incredibly efficient. The food is fantastic, so quite obviously the restaurant was at capacity on a Saturday night (with an 1.5 hour wait if you do not have a reservation). How everyone who works there makes everything look so easy when they are not able to stop for a minute to catch their breath, is beyond my comprehension. Thank you for a wonderful evening out!
This place is incredible! Food is phenomenal and the staff is so nice. I had the shrimp pasta tonight and it was delicious! Billy our server was so sweet and attentive! Ted the owner is just as amazing and caring. Also the espresso martini is to die for. No wonder this place is always full and thriving. I will definitely be back!

We were dissatisfied for the following reasons: no valet as advertised. I had surgery on my ankle and had to park miles away. Meatballs were great but when I asked for extra sauce on my halibut, waitress brought me mashed potatoes. Waitress was not attentive. Overall experience was fair.
This was one of my best dining experiences in a long time. The restaurant itself is surprisingly modern and beautiful inside, which you might not expect from its exterior. Everyone from the host to the wait staff was warm and friendly and welcoming. I had a delicious martini accompanied by their warm olive assortment, followed by the arugula salad and then the lobster ravioli. I cleaned my plate at each course because it was so delicious! The tiramisu for dessert was also delicious. It was lively, chic and fun. I highly recommend this place.

Had an outstanding experience at Lucca from start to finish. Everyone was warm and welcoming. I had the arugula salad, lobster ravioli and tiramisu, and all were delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Lucca is one of those spots you’re glad exists when you land late and still want a real dinner instead of airport snacks. The boar pasta was excellent, easily the highlight, but the rest of the menu landed squarely in the “fine, not great” category.
The real win here is the late-night hours and the cozy bar scene. It’s a great place to unwind if you enjoy a solid, slightly above average Old Fashioned and good conversation after a travel day. Friendly staff, warm vibe, just don’t expect culinary fireworks.
Come for the pasta, stay for the bar.

The service was attentive and food came out very quickly. The meatballs were delicious for an app. I got the lobster ravioli which was good but felt like an ingredient was missing. The salmon with orzo was spectacular.

We had an awesome experience at Lucca. Both owners were boots on the ground and very hands on. I even saw one of them bus a table and set for the next service. Our waiter Billy was attentive and kind, and the food did not disappoint. Great ambience a very kind staff all around. I would certainly recommend!
We loved Lucca so much that we made a second trip before we left Boston! Amazing experience from the weight staff to the food and wine! Great wine selection, amazing Bolognese, oh and the lamb is spectacular. We cannot wait for our next trip to Boston so that we can return to Lucca!!!!!
Between Casey’s hospitality, that comforting Bolognese, and a chocolate mousse pie that’ll make you want to lick the plate, Lucca is the kind of spot that makes you feel like you’ve treated yourself. It’s fancy enough for a special night out but still warm and welcoming — the kind of place you remember long after you’ve left.
An exceptional evening at Lucca Ristorante — a true gem in Boston’s dining scene. From the moment we arrived, the service, ambiance, and cuisine reflected the kind of polish and professionalism that defines a top-tier establishment.
Casey was outstanding — poised, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable. Their grace and command of the dining room elevated the entire experience. It’s rare to find service this seamless yet so personal; Casey embodies the standard of hospitality every great restaurant strives for.
The swordfish was nothing short of perfection — delicately seared, impeccably seasoned, and plated with balance and finesse. The bolognese was pure comfort at its highest level — rich, layered, and authentically Italian, showcasing both skill and restraint in execution.
Lucca captures what Boston does best: timeless elegance without pretension, refined flavors with a sense of place. A truly first-class experience from start to finish.
Our server Liz was great. The food was meh. The chicken was surprisingly good but the wild boar pasta tasted too similar to spaghettios. The old fashioned cocktail was disappointing, watered down and too sweet.
