I stopped here and order a breakfast sandwich and some home fries. I have to say the food was really good. The staff was great. I will definitely eat here again.

Food quality was just awful, soggy bacon, stale refried chicken that was bone dry, burnt edges of bread that they somehow called French toast. Waffles were undercooked.

Food was on point. Nice cute place with delicious food and the atmosphere was cool. They are quite busy. Will go back. I definitely want to try the blueberry pancakes they looked ?

The place is NO LONGER Cash Only. They do accept credit cards, but they will add a processing fee.

Food was OK. I really enjoyed my Reuben but my wife's blueberries were inedible

I go at least 3 times a week. I truly appreciate the amazing staff. They literally make our morning every time we grab breakfast there. One of the best values for a breakfast or lunch in Boston.

I have to say, I was utterly confused because on different occasions, I would have to send my supposed OVER MEDIUM eggs back. Instead of the waitresses telling the cooks how to cook it, they got mad at me!
Unbelievable right?
The last waitress I had was rude & the waitress who asked me not to come back was rude!
I'm thinking, wow, after all the money I have spent in this place, this is the way I'm treated all because the cooks don't know the difference between an over medium egg and an over easy egg. Just disgusted.

I would not recommend eating anything from this place I have tried to give them a chance 3 times and it’s always a fail

DON'T EAT AT MIKE'S CITY DINER! TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE! RUN AWAY AS FAR, AND AS FAST AS YOU CAN TO SOMEWHERE ELSE! As someone visiting Boston, on my last day before getting on the train, my family and I(about 20 persons) decided to eat here. My table ordered, as other family members started arriving. 1 family member arrived 15-20 minutes after me and basically ordered the same thing. Their food came(mind you they ordered 15 minutes after us)and when I stopped the waiter to inquire about the order, he became very rude, and nasty told me "the food is cooking, it's busy, and if you don't like it, you could leave!". Well, he didn't need to tell me 2x. So this is how you are treated if you inquire about your food?!! I LOVE my family, cause at that point, my nieces spoke to the manager then ALL members left out of that GRIMEY, unprofessional establishment NEVER TO RETURN!! Is this how you treat all of your customers? Or only people of color? Sooo glad we didn't eat there!! GOD knew what HE was doing! WORST PLACE EVER!!

From beginning to end everything was great! At first we thought the wait was going to be really long (which told us it must be worth it) but we didn't wait more than 2 minutes as we sat at the bar. The staff was wonderful & kind despite how busy they were. Watching the chefs in the kitchen was a bonus - they never missed a beat.
The food was amazing, what else can I say. It was way too much and had to take some home.

I was in the neighborhood and decided to give this place a try . I ordered the Emergency Room and my food was horrible my hash brown was mushy and my eggs where under cooked also my pancakes tasted like flower. Then called them to inform them that my breakfast was no good and they wanted to make me come all the way back for them to make my food over .

Very cool little little hole in the wall. Mike's Diner aired on Diners Drive-ins. There was no wait when we walked in. Prompt service. The food was delicious. Their corned beef hash is homemade. It's probably the best I've ever tasted. They serve grits, which I love. If you're in tow, you should swing by for some grub. Hope you like it, like we did.

The food is not hot or seasoned, while eating we found a string in the eggs. And the toast was just two prices of bread wrapped up. The woman in the front is very rude and unprofessional, she needs a class in customer service. This is the first time I ordered from them but I will never be coming back again. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
