Stopped in at Modern Pastry on Hanover and picked up cannoli to take away. They were excellent, filled freshly to order, the shells staying super crisp and packed with smooth ricotta. First off,I wanted to thank all the staff that made my special order,last minute request for Pastaciotti .We have lived in South Carolina for the last 14 years,previously lived in NJ,where we had some great Italian bakeries that made them,but we now do have a very few real Italian bakeries that make everything but,Pastaciotti??So,our son happened to be in Boston,visiting for the weekend,and I about called every bakery in the North End,and nobody had them,but Modern bakery offered...
