Ogawa's coffee is of high quality and delicious. I personally prefer their iced lattes over the hot ones. I docked a star mainly due to the unfortunate spacing in the shop. Truthfully, they're doing too good for how small the space is! It can get pretty crowded and while there's a good amount of seating, it gets awkward if you're waiting for a to-go order and I feel like I'm always in someone's way. The lattes can also take a REALLY long time, though they added a standing table to help give stragglers a spot to wait, which I appreciated. They also have stadium-style seats for more casual hangouts. Can be a bit pricey compared to other coffee shops but worth it for a quality drink (their matcha is great too!)

Wow, this was my first time in and I’m impressed. The young lady taking my order was so kind and patient with me, and even with a long line of people she managed to stop time and hep me make a decision with ease. I have a food allergy and she really listened to me. Because she was so present with me without rushing me, she helped me decide faster, so this ended up being very time efficient.
I ordered a Mexican latte and some sort of ham sandwich on sourdough (can’t remember the name). It came with a really nice olive oil and it was so perfectly toasted. The Mexican latte had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The two baristas working were both fast paced and creative with their art, and somehow so quiet. This place is very calming.
The only thing I’ll say, there’s not much art/plant life in this cafe, so it doesn’t really make you want to sit down and enjoy. Nonetheless my experience overall was great, thank you guys!

Ogawa became our go-to stop during our latest stop in Boston. The coffee was delicious and the menu varied and never disappointed. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

We tried the matcha and hojicha lattes and weren't impressed. The matcha was incredibly earthy, and lacked sweetness, which wasn't ideal for my liking. Even more, they were expensive!
The vibe inside the cafe, however, was artistic and unique. The stands for seating were an interesting feature and make the cafe stand out. I wish I had tried more stuff from their menu, so I could have more good to say.

Exceptional coffee and a beautifully calm experience.
Stopped in for a Kalita pour over and it was one of the most balanced and elegant cups of coffee I have had in a long time. The Guatemalan El Injerto was clean silky and perfectly extracted bright without being sharp with a smooth refined finish.
The service and presentation really stood out as well. Thoughtful unhurried and clearly focused on craft. This is the kind of place where coffee is treated with intention not rushed.
I will absolutely be back.

$9 with tax per drink is crazy!!! 2 plain matcha and hojicha lattes (no mods, both hot) was $25. quality is definitely there but it is so expensive. cafe was quite busy, and seating was a little tight. otherwise a good experience.

Matcha texture was good but flavor was awful. They are using expired tea leaves, bitterness and grassiness only slightly better than Starbucks for 10 dollars. No thank you.

Crowded for standing room and not very pretty. Almost ordered the matcha but couldn’t do it for $8.50. Didn’t wait long for orders though! Not much of a condiments bar—with no milk or cream—just sugar. I had to put the lids on myself and I chose wrong because they’re not labeled for drink size. My iced coffee was so strong and so bitter I couldn’t really drink it. Our salmon bagel was good!

I don't have much experience beyond their coffee but they do a good job of that.

One of the cutest cafe experiences I've ever had... The cafe was VERY packed with people but it had a lot of fun seating (communal tables, two-tops and tiered seating!!) and a really gorgeous menu of Japanese lattes, brunch food and sweets/pastries!
The hojicha latte had so much body and depth I was almost reminded of black sesame. The latte art was really gorgeous as well. I really liked it! The latte paired incredibly well with the houjicha cake slice, which came with strawberry, coffee jelly, a raspberry syrup and vanilla ice cream. The cake slice was the ideal level of mildly sweet, which was enhanced by all of the added components -- the fruity sweetness of the raspberry syrup, the creaminess of the vanilla, the tartness of the strawberry and the bitterness of the jelly. It felt like such a luxurious dessert experience!
Ideal for a fun afternoon date or a sweet pick-me-up!

Ogawa is really good for matcha or hot lattes! I think their iced lattes aren’t the best but their overall quality of drinks is great. We got the sea salt latte and it was a 6/10. The seating is limited but love their interior.

I honestly want to love this Kyoto coffee house. However the service at this shop is just horrible, especially one of their staff who takes your order. It’s very difficult to talk to her, and she constantly gives you this confusing look that you’re very much bothering her, while in fact you were just asking if they have folk and knife (that she didn’t give you in the first place when you ordered pastries and inconvenient to eat). All in all this reception service is probably one of the worst I’ve had. The other staffs were fine. And I do like their latte and honjicha latte.
4/5 for their coffee and drinks, 1 for the service.
