We stumbled upon this place looking for brunch and we basically ordered everything on the brunch menu! Everything was delicious and the servers were super nice! I really liked the atmosphere and the Bloody Mary was perfect! I have to say, the cinnamon sugar beignets were probably my favorite-they were out of this world! We tried the braised lamb arriancini and they were awesome the sauce was so fresh and the meat was so tender....the pork belly was also good I really enjoyed the dipping sauce, same with the waffle battered breakfast sausages..also had the chicken and waffles and shakshuka...and a blackberry cilantro shrub...every thing was great! I am glad I found this place! I definitely recommend!!!

Love Parla! Good drinks, good food, good vibes. Love the drink card game, even though I am too scared to personally try it, I love watching others get the drinks and watching the speeches when people complete their cards. I am also obsessed with the menus, but won’t give too much away for people who have not been yet. Every time we go to the city, I want to go here, which is saying something because I don’t even like Italian food that much. 10/10 will always recommend, especially for dates or small group dinners.

It was me and my BF's first time in Boston and we were staying at a nearby hotel. My bf and I had just gotten in from the train and wanted some food to get us by before walking over to the Bruins game. It was very cold and windy and we started walking the North End and everything looked pretty busy. We were heading south on the North End and decided to stop at this place for a quick bite and drinks. As we come in we are greeted very nicely by a woman who asks if we had a reservation. I politely say no and she mention that I got lucky because they have some open seating and that it would be 5 more minutes. We are told to wait outside so we wait. I think we waited out in the cold for 10-15 minutes.
While we waited another young woman comes to the door to ask for a table and is also told to wait (I think she waited 5min). Mind you, i could see 3 open tables from the window. Its 15 degrees and windy outside but we decided to stick it out since we were pretty hungry. Finally after 10-15 minutes she calls us in to get seated. About a minute after, she calls in the young woman (who's party of 2 had yet to arrive) to get seated and sits them next to us. As we sat waiting even longer, we see the waitress finally come up, thinking she was coming up to us, and begins having a conversation as asking the woman next to us if she wanted drinks while she waited for her party. I let it go thinking that maybe she would come take our order next. Nope, she past us again and completely ignored us. Someone else had to come by to bring us waters. 10 more minutes passed of waiting, looking at the small menu they had and the waitress having a full on conversation with a party that had yet to arrive.
As we see her 2nd person arrive, they get service once again with food orders and drinks, and we get skipped over. Mind you we have yet to have the waitress or anyone even acknowledge that we existed.
We got up and left with the same courtesy we were given. I don't recommend this place if you are looking for good service. Also for the 20+ minutes we were sitting there, the music was too loud, and the candles/oils on the tables smell too strong of tobacco. Would never go back here even if you paid me.

Exceptional place that my girl and I just stumbled upon, without being too overwhelming, despite being in the North End.
Definitely has a bit of a Dungeons and Dragons vibe, with a cool menu item where you roll a D20
I had some amazing chicken parm here, and good lord, I WILL be returning, the next time I am in Boston to visit.
Bartender was pleasantly charismatic, food was great, and the atmosphere was everything we were looking for.

Cocktails were decent - food sub par for the North End - we had small plates thé Brussels sprouts were mushy and couldn’t eat - the caprese was tasteless - would have have a cocktail and move on.
The service at Parla is absolutely incredible. Stopped in for a few drinks before dinner and then had to come back after - was more than satisfied twice. Food was pretty good but not the reason I would return - just tried a couple small plates. Fantastic espresso martini. Bartender was a total professional. Beyond impressed by the staff. Their calm and efficiency is remarkable - a combination of hiring the exact right people and training them well. Not from Boston but will certainly be back to fill up more of my d20 punch card.

Good prices and amazing atmosphere. The parks and rec inspired brunch menu gave us a nice kick. Portion sizes are reasonable, and food was tasty. Dining area small but friendly and charismatic staff make it feel personable.
Honestly I’d go back just for the vibes even if the food was bad but the food is good so it’s definitely a rec from me.

Small quarters and tight, but quaint seating. Tapas and cocktails.

While the restaurant itself has a warm and cozy vibe we didn’t receive a warm reception. We didn’t even get shown to a table. The waiter merely pointed to the table that he wanted us to sit at. The place didn’t seem all that clean. The menus although quirky felt grubby and dirty. We ordered the potatoes, Brussels sprouts, lamb skewers and the meatballs. The sauce with the meatballs was like water. The skewers were overcooked and chewy. The fried Brussels sprouts were soggy. The potatoes were overcooked as well. There’s a wealth of good quality restaurants on Hanover Street but this place lacks quality.

Whenever my wife and I come to stay in Boston, we always love to come to Parla. Their food is so delicious and rolling a d20 to see what drink you get is great fun. See you next time!

It was great. Loved all the details, the food was amazing, my wine was fantastic and the whole role the dice to get a random cocktail was awesome. My only suggestion is if your policy states that there’s an hour and 40 min limit to a table - that should be advertised or told before sitting down. It’s literally pouring today and we would’ve loved to keep going and order more drinks and food but instead we were rushed out. It was raining too much to jump anywhere else so we went back home. Totally understand if there was a reservation coming up - just tell us ahead of time about the time limit. Either way, vibe was cool and would come back for a quick drink and appetizer.
