Incredible. The food, drinks and service were all beyond exceptional and demanded prompt return - an experience this good is hard to come by and places Petit Robert high on my list. Duck Confit, Marie Antoinette and Creme Brulee stood out as especially excellent in a dinner where everything was wildly good. Being present for multiple birthdays also just went to show - Petit Robert Bistro is a special place to go.
We made reservations explicitly for fondu night - a type of reservation I specifically had to select. I'd think that meant we had fondu reservations and the restaurant would hold/reserve the necessary materials needed to serve us. They ran out of the fondu materials (bowls that can have an open flame under them to keep the cheese hot and melted) and served us in cast iron bowls instead. We went on a Sunday evening and had the Steak Frites special. It was terrific! They served plenty of tender steak with a au poivre dressing; a side salad, a baguette and of course, fries; all were light and delicious. Our waiter was attentive and made a good suggestion for a red wine to go with our meal. We highly recommend this restaurant!
