Petit Robert Bistro lands at a solid 3.5 stars for me, but I’ll round up to 4 thanks to the service and ambiance. A group of three of us ended up here for dinner because it was one of the few places open with availability around Back Bay. With no reservations and limited options, it worked out, but while the service and menu were great, the food itself wasn’t quite as impressive.

The French onion soup was just okay — the consistency was a little strange...

Came here with a few students from my lab and also our PI for dinner. The place is nice and quiet initially but after 8pm gets kind of crowded. Food is fine, I ordered coq au vin, which seems authentic but a bit too salty for my liking. My PI paid for our food so no complaint! Overall a nice evening
