What is going on with the potbelly Sandwich Company as whole ... I just had one episode with another location on federal st now this on Washington st Doesn't have chicken sandwiches because know one in there knows how to make it so the chicken is just sitting there in a plastic bag I'm done with potbell as whole over it and I use to crave their sandwiches as I am now but Fortunately the two in my vicinity won't be the ones to go to anymore

I had heard of Potbelly and was really excited to try it out. This experience was terrible and really turned me away from ever trying them.First, it was confusing where you order, whether it is the back then pay, or go straight to the front. Even though there were 3 people working front of house (and more in the back) there was no direction or anything, but that’s okay. We grabbed some drinks and chips and went to the front. The employee asked for our order, we placed it, and we waited. We continued to wait. And we waited more.Very few people were there, and there were at least 4 people working, so it seemed strange we were waiting so long.Others came in and got their sandwiches while we still waited. I went up after 30 minutes to find out they just didn’t make our order at all.We ended up just getting a refund for the sandwiches and leaving. There was no apology at all, almost like we were an inconvenience to them.I recommend the franchisee/owner or manager reevaluate the team they have there as this is not set up to be a successful location.

Of all the national sandwich shop chains, Potbelly is one of my favorites...the reason? They have good quality meats and cheeses and they toast every one of their sandwiches in their fun and quick toaster conveyor at 500F. I am not a crazy fan of sandwiches, but when I get one, I like them toasted. Potbelly delivers. This location is Boston was busy when I went, but being in downtown, that is expected. There's a mobile app that can be downloaded for those who frequent the chain and that way, you can order ahead and just the way you like it. When I went, you could get a free sandwich after your first $5 purchase on the app. My toasted chicken club sandwich was crispy on the outside and moist and savory on the inside....a great treat !

Typically dependable Potbelly sandwiches here: often savory, meaty ones as far as the hot offerings are concerned, whether "The Wreck" (turkey breast, smoked ham, roast beef, salami, swiss) or the chicken club (grilled chicken, Applewood smoked bacon, cheddar) that I usually go for. Yes, they offer cold cut sandwiches too, but the hot sandwiches are tasty and solid enough to keep me coming back to Potbelly as a chain - in addition to their Thursday email specials which may involve either bonus loyalty points or BOGO offers. Like with other Potbelly locations, you can order ahead of time for pickup at this downtown location - a welcome amenity for busy office workers. You should, however, give the staff 10-15 minutes of wiggle room around the promised delivery time, especially during the lunch rush. Otherwise, dependable enough. Dear Potbelly: just because this a 3-star review doesn't mean that my experience was bad. In fact, 3 stars are "A-OK" in Yelp parlance and apply perfectly to a standardized, national, large-chain experience.

I used to love Pot Belly's. This store had recently reopened after being closed for a bit. The location is in a busy tourist/business /student area. I purchased 2 sandwiches a Meatball and a Chicken/Cheese. Today, Iwas very surprised and disappointed with the taste and the freshness of the veggies on the chicken sub. Neither tasted fresh. The meatballs tasted old. The quality was lacking. The prices for bottled drinks like powerade where way overpriced. The staff was friendly. It wasn't very busy for being a weekday at lunch. It was clean and had alot of seating.

Just ordered a sandwich and it tasted like chemicals. I don’t know why. I’ve eaten here before it closed, but now it doesn’t seem like it’s come back to where it was.

Extremely poor service. The Girl at the counter, who is black was super disrespectful to the white boy doing the sandwich. This always creates a friction between and in a rush hour confusion and anxieties. I think and it seems they are under staff. But they temper and personal and customer service skills need a lot of training. No body should be disrespecting no body. They should be working together and delegate orders in a respectful and professional manner. Although the white boy wasn’t responding to her nauseous attitude, he was aggressive towards customers. Me included. It’s hard working under Pressure and understaff. I have work in a restaurant before, customers think is ease and we should be “ your Honor at your service” but is not like that. This employees need to work together and respect and respectfully help and collaborate with each other.
