Absolute worst customer service I've had. Took almost 30 min to get a food order going from the bar outside. Rude bartender. If I can give less than 1 star for this place I would. Run and take your money somewhere else because this place is not it.

All of the food was fantastic, except for the lobster roll. They serve it on a hamburger bun instead of a New England hot dog bun. Huge mistake, I don’t know what they’re thinking. Bread was barely buttered at all. Lobster was cold, no option to have it hot drawn butter. If the lobster roll was $20, I wouldn’t be upset. But $37 for this small and bland roll is absurd. At least the oysters and fried fish basket were really tasty.

We came here back in 2017 and they shucked the oysters at the bar, they were awesome. The clam chowder is also incredible. It's a small place and we had a hell of a time finding it again. Happy I did and marked it in my places. You should too!

Some of the cleanest food in the neighborhood, I wish the tourist would leave some table space for the locals.

Great portion sizes and very attentive staff. Food was really good. Great ambiance feeling not too bright in the table service area.

Terrible service, okay food. This evening I went to the Salty Dog with an out of town co-worker, we were showing her around Boston and we ended up at Faneuil Hall.We sat down in the restaurant where the one waitress on shift was obviously annoyed that we didn't want to sit at the bar, so she wouldn't have to be our server. Then as we were reading over the menu, a single guy came in and sat down alone, even though the place was mostly empty, he was asked to move yo a smaller table "in case a larger party came in", to which he just got up and left the restaurant. Then our food was served, we had ordered appetizers to share. We were never ev3n given plates. We ordered th3 calamari, which tasted good, and was a decent portion, however it came with a tiny little cup of Marana sauce for dipping. When I asked the waitress for some more, we were told that kitchen was closed so she couldn't get üs any more.Just terrible customer service!! Another server closed out the night and his attitude as he sla.med the tab down on the table was just as bad as our original waitress. For the first time in my life, I didn't l didn't leave a tip and we walked out the door.

Brittney was our server, and she was awesome! The nine of us ordered lunch and beer, which were great. I had the Paul Revere Seafood Medly Appetizer as my lunch, and the batter was light and crispy. We sat in the lower dining room and felt like we were in a boat's cabin. I highly recommend this cool restaurant & bar that has been around for fifty years!!!

This restaurant, located on the outer periphery of the market, looks like a small bar. All the seafood dishes were fresh and very delicious.I think this is a very convenient restaurant for unplanned travelers who want to stop by and enjoy local cuisine. Eating around is fun, but the food tastes better when eaten at a restaurant.

Our server, April was spot on! We had raw oysters, stuffed quahogs, muscles, lobsterman's platter and calamari. Everything, every single item was cooked perfectly. The portion sizes were perfect for the prices. I have been in the food and beverage business for 40 years. Trust me!
