There's a certain vibe when you walk into Scampo, it does feel like a hotel restaurant that's a bit more calmer than you would expect from Boston’s culinary matriarch Lydia Shire. It’s not trending with lines out of the door given it debuted inside the Liberty Hotel in 2008 or competing with the Italian heavyweights in the North End, but Scampo is definitely well-regarded and respected in the city. You can understand that respect from the food and service, everything...
Stopped in for a Mother's Day lunch. We had a reservation, so we were seated promptly. Service was attentive with casual elegance. We selected from the special Mother's Day Menu. Our starter was a Caesar salad. Entrees included chicken, pasta carbonara, gluten-free spaghetti, and a gnocchi plate with mussels. All were delicious. Full bar and extensive wine list available. Wood fired oven for pizzas. Lovely atmosphere in a unique historic setting.
Splendid and phenomenal experience at Scampo. The food was top notch and delicious, I recommend the lobster pizza. For dessert, recommend Tiramisu and Pelan cake. One of the most unique and flavorful pizzas I’ve had. If you fancy a safe option, carbonara is great. The cocktails are incredibly good, I recommend autumn ash (10/10) and our classic Fresca.
