Excellent crudo, wines. The white anchovies were delicious, as was the green bean salad.
Easily one of the best food and vibes of Boston. They have the best version of everything they have. Amazing service.

A perfect place to have some oysters or lobster. The variety of oysters and the excellent flavor, very fresh. The quality price relation is very good. They are very attentive and are ready to recommend and assist you at all times.I really liked the atmosphere, don't expect a fine place, rather a cozy and stylish place to eat seafood. We were at the bar, but it was very pleasant. It is in an area with a lot of variety and quite busy, I recommend booking in advance.

I have yet to have a meal at Select that is anything short of outstanding. Service is top notch, oysters are always amazing, and the dishes are perfectly prepared. Possibly my favorite spot in New England.

Ate here before a concert - we enjoyed the food and brownstone ambiance. We sampled their oysters of course (we liked the Maine ones the best over even Island Creek, had the uni crostini, grouper tartare special, Brussels sprouts special, bouillabaisse, and Spanish octopus. A little on the pricier side but completely fine for a date night. Friendly service. Tucked on Gloucester St next to Krasi. Would come again!

Great wait staff but ... noisy, pricy for the quality of food, and did I mention noisy. We went pre-Covid and it was outstanding. At that time the price was definitely fair. Now .... and I'm sorry for that.

I can't say enough good things about Select. The staff was warm and welcoming and our server John especially was attentive, skilled, and friendly. There were 11 people in our party and everyone had a wonderful time. Food was fabulous. Thank you!

Holy Moly this place is delicious!! Our server Stephanie was phenomenal in making recommendations and answering questions. It was Mom’s night off and it did NOT disappoint. It exceeded our expectations with the fresh and unique flavors. The blue fin toro crisp (a special for the night) was my favorite. And that bottle of Pol Roger, of course. ??I also HAVE to note the exceptionally clean restrooms; but it’s noticeably clean and the cleanest restaurant restroom I’ve ever seen. This speaks volumes to the care of the entire team to make this an impeccable experience all around. I can’t wait to head back to Boston.
The wallet-biopsy destroyed the memory of the delicious oysters at the end of the meal. Regardless of party size, the restaurant automatically charges 20% as a tip for the waiter and an extra 3% for operational fees. I thought the cost of the food pays for the restaurant's operations?! When I asked the waiter, he said that the operational tax helps defray the cost of healthcare and other incidentals for running a restaurant. When you go to this restaurant, expect your bill to increase by a minimum of 23%. That is outrageous and unheard of. Aalthough the food was delicious, the portions were extremely small. After ordering numerous appetizers, and entrées, we had to go to a supermarket because we were starving and didn’t want our bill to be $500. truly, you can spend your money more wisely elsewhere.

I recently took my wife to Select Oyster Bar for her birthday based on a coworker's recommendation. He had mentioned the restaurant's fresh seafood and how it was a perfect spot for special occasions. After dining there, I can confirm that it lived up to all the expectations. The appetizer and starter selections were well-curated, but the highlight was definitely the delicious and fresh oysters. My wife, who loves seafood, was impressed as well. However, I would have appreciated more options for main courses. Overall, the food and atmosphere were excellent.
