I cant speak to the food, only snacks and we didn't eat. This place was fun!! Have to go to find out! We are just visiting from Cali and stumbled upon this place. Super small so if u want to get in go early!
Last month, I had the pleasure of visiting Hecate and completely forgot to leave a review. I wanted to take a moment to express how special that night was. The drinks were exceptional, meticulously crafted, and the bartender, Vikki, ensured that my girlfriend and I had an unforgettable experience.
We were fortunate enough to be seated promptly upon arrival, and the entire staff displayed exceptional care and friendliness.

It was a ok experience, the best drink was the one with guava foam and pineapple ferment soda (which is called Tepache, and it’s a Mexican drink). The one on the left with palo santo sadly tasted like cherry cough syrup, the ingredients were interesting but the end result didn’t delivered.
Staff was really friendly

Hecate, a hidden gem in Boston's Back Bay, is a speakeasy-style bar that offers an enchanting and intimate atmosphere for cocktail enthusiasts. The dimly lit space, adorned with dark woods and eclectic decor, creates a captivating setting perfect for a quiet date night or a catch-up with friends. Inspired by the Greek goddess of magic and crossroads, Hecate weaves together ambiance, craftsmanship, and storytelling, providing a spellbinding escape from the ordinary.
The cocktail menu at Hecate is exceptional, featuring unique and meticulously crafted drinks. Every drink is a masterpiece, reflecting inspiration from spice markets, culinary delights, and worldly travels. From inventive takes on classics like Daiquiris and Espresso Martinis to truly unique flavor experiences, the cocktails evoke the warmth of a Moroccan souk or transport guests to a European café. The knowledgeable and passionate staff provide attentive service, making personalized recommendations to enhance the customer's experience. The bartenders are praised for creating drinks that are both familiar and delightfully unexpected.
While the restaurant has a small, intimate space best suited for smaller groups, the staff is highly attentive and conversational, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The art and story behind each cocktail are fascinating, and every detail, from glassware to garnish, is carefully chosen. Although prices can be high, with every drink around $22, the overall experience is often worth it. Hecate is not wheelchair accessible, as the bar is located down a set of stairs hidden in a back alley. Overall, Hecate is a must-visit for anyone seeking unique cocktails in a captivating setting, where time slows, curiosity flourishes, and every sip feels like a revelation.
