Shinmio is a classic and it's good, but recently I've just been gravitating towards other bubble tea places. Now that bubble tea is expanding, so many more bubble tea shops are opening up and are very competitive. The things that drew me to Shinmio were the asthetics, flavors, and offerings of Chinese bakery items as well, but now I feel like their drink selection is a bit narrow and options can get expensive. The Chinese bakery items too are a bit over priced. Flavors are not bad, definitely hits the spot if you're craving bubble tea, but now that there are other places nearby as well, not sure if Shinmio would be my first go-to for bubble tea

Jasmine milk tea with cheese foam is the best I've ever had. Fragrant tea, creamy milk, and no whey protein flavor in the cheese foam.

I ordered a strawberry smooTEA (smoothie) with cheese foam and it was pretty good! I always get 25% sugar because I'm not a huge fan of sugary drinks, and to my surprise it actually tasted like 25% sugar. The vibes inside the place is so clean and nice, which was great but definitely not a lot of seats (or there aren't any) more of a buy and go place. They also gave us a stamp card so if you buy 10 drinks they will give you a free drink! The staff was super nice and very friendly as well :) I'm definitely coming back to try the other drinks!

Quick. Small & cute. The girl was nice. The milk tea is good. The boba is alright. I like the cute magnets they have. I have a stamp card so I do came back every once in a while with my friends.

Have tried 75% of the menu and can confidently say that their quality and taste is always amazing. Favorites are the strawberry, matcha and dalgona coffee. The strawberry milk tea is blended fresh and has real strawberries--you can see them doing making it. A little pricy for the size, but would recommend.

Maybe I should've gotten a different drink, but I didn't love the Shinmio x Ogawa Coffee Cold Brew with Milk (and boba). The drink was lukewarm even though I ordered cold brew, and the pearls were average. The service was alright but not friendly. The one upside is that my order came out within one or two minutes because the store wasn't very busy on a weekend afternoon. I'm willing to give some of the Fruiteas a try, but after my first experience, I prefer other boba shops in the area.

The white peach oolong milk tea and the daytonia coffee milk tea was pretty alright. I feel the milk tea here is really overpriced compared to other boba tea places that are just as good.

Although I generally get bubble tea from chain stores, I've visited this place a handful of times to grab bubble tea back when I lived in the area. This is by far one of my favorite private-owned tea spots that in my opinion compete with the quality of some chains. Their smooteas is one of my favorites and always a good sweet treat, and I greatly enjoy their jasmine green milk tea. One time my tea had been sitting for a few minutes when I picked up and separated a bit, and they offered to make me another! Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area for some reasons.

One of the worst milk tea shop in Boston, they can’t even seal the cup properly. Don’t waste your money unless you want all of them split everywhere. The tea taste not fresh as well.

This is my favorite boba place that I have come across so far in my Boston experience. They are consistent and I personally have enjoyed all of the drinks that I have had so far. I love the matcha milk tea (with boba) and I sub oat milk! I have also had one that has brown sugar that is so good, I just can't remember the name. It is a small place once inside, but the workers are efficient so even with a line, you can still pick up your order fairly quickly. I have also had pleasant experiences with all the workers, so A+ for a good customer experience. Now this place is a bit pricey, but honestly it is not that extreme for the cost of other boba places. It is also the only place I have found to have consistently made boba (in texture and taste) that I can rely on to always hit the spot. I also love that they use golden boba - it is just another fun aspect of the boba experience. Also, the fact that Shinmio has oat milk option to let me make the majority of milk teas dairy-fee is a huge plus for me! The drinks are pretty easily customizable with the sugar levels, milk options, and topping options. I think anyone could find a drink that fits their preferences between the milk teas, fruit teas, and fun coffee beverages, as well as the fun assortment of Asian snacks.
