I have been an ardent ordered of Bel Ave and always enjoyed good food, prompt service, etc. Unfortunately my last order which was for two steak, pepper, onion and cheese calzones, large chicken wing and French fries was a vast disappointment. The calzones were flat and very greasy, chicken and fries were also very greasy. We were very disappointed especially after paying $65. I don’t know if there was a different cook that day or what but I am all set. Will not be ordering again.

As soon as I entered I met a very nice woman who is in charge and very personable. There will be a bakery next to the pizzeria soon. The pizza is always very good.The slices are always very large. I like the buffalo chicken pizza. The wings are very good. It's pretty convenient and they serve it pretty fast.

Ordered a pizza cooked well done and received pizza soup (that was clearly sliding across the delivery driver's seat) w/undercooked dough. Steak and cheese had no cheese and zero flavor that even salt and pepper could not save it. Big disappointment and a complete waste of time and money.

As a New Yorker too often you hear NY Style pizza here in Boston. This place is the real deal. Crispy thin crust, a well balanced tomato sauce and just mozzarella cheese (no cheddar) on the Cheese Pizza. I couldn’t stop eating the pizza. I am in heaven a real Ny Pizza close by my home.
Ordered a plain pizza to go - that's our NY pizza snob test: Is a plain pizza good? Does it withstand the rigors of 1/2 hour in a box? Passed both tests. This is a good approximation of NY pizza - decent crust, good balance of cheese & sauce. Only one gripe: too much semolina - made it kind of gritty. Maybe a rookie mistake? But otherwise: those of you looking for a decent NY pizza, Bel Ave is among the better options in Boston. This is our new local.

So I decided to get a pizza from the new owners and a different name they are definitely cheap on the toppings I ordered a small chicken bacon ranch and there was barely any bacon or chicken the pizza was bland not much flavor I guess they have to cut budget an food taste better off going to pleasant or the real deal for
