I had the pleasure of dining at Summer Shack while visiting the Boston area, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed, perfect for enjoying a casual meal. The seafood was fresh, flavorful, and served up quickly, which was a nice surprise. Everything from the clam chowder to the lobster was absolutely delicious.
Our waitress, Ariana, made the experience even better with her friendly attitude and excellent customer service. She was attentive, yet not overbearing, and made us feel right at home. If you’re in the area and looking for great seafood in a relaxed setting, Summer Shack is definitely worth a visit!

Fried clams are really good and oyster are fresh. However, the snow crab legs are too salts. It is not because of the garlic butter sauce, but the crab meat itself is too salty. I seriously doubt about the freshness of the snow crab legs. Try to avoid it and don’t waste your $50 on the salty crab legs.

I went there for a drag brunch, and it was honestly offensive and embarrassing. They charged us for tickets, but in return, they did nothing except continuously come down and aggressively demand more and more tips. We didn’t see any real performance. They barely knew the words to the songs, and it was disgusting to watch how everyone just played the part they were assigned instead of trying to put on some kind of show. People just kept throwing more tips, and it felt like we paid for a ticket only to watch someone in costume begging for money. I do not recommend going there. There’s a limit to greed. Stop treating us as if we’re only there to hand over cash without receiving any value in return. And let’s not forget the food prices were outrageous—$18 for avocado toast—and they charged a tip without asking. I’m not sure if that’s even legal. I definitely won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t advise anyone to go to this so-called drag show that wasn’t even a show at all—it was a complete rip-off.

We were thinking of going to the drag brunch, but we have some vegetarians in the group and TBH the menu looks outright hostile to vegetarians. We could literally have a side of grilled asparagus or the kid's menu shells and cheese. I don't even spot anything a vegan could conceivably eat.
One review says they'll make you something custom...great, a mystery meal. It's 2024...

Awesome food and service, 3rd visit, tried pan lobster on first visit, it was awesome, want to get that again, warm Lobster roll on latest visit with garlic mashed potatoes, both were outstanding, mashed potatoes were whipped and perfect , lobster roll was also perfect , without the unnecessary extras some other places add, this was pure lobster and perfect roll, had the coconut custard pie which was also incredible, bar tvs were on some crazy channels but the food made up for it , hope to be back soon, thank you!

I met up with a friend who was staying at the Sheraton down the street. He mentioned being up for seafood. Most of the places that came up in the list were a bit too high-priced for our blood, but this little place was down the street from his hotel. I had a bowl of the clam chowder and he ordered the haddock over jasmine rice and asparagus with a few glasses of wine. Both us were highly satisfied. Our respective bowl and plate were emptied, but our wallets were not!

Decent seafood but way too expensive. You can get nearly twice as much seafood for around the same price with more flavor at places like Salty Dog. Service was phenomenal today though.

We were in town after a cruise and decided to check out the Summer Shack. The fresh oysters were awesome. Our server was great, giving us some great recommendations. We had 2 of each of the oysters they were serving so my wife and I could try them all. We both had different favourites, and I ordered 3 more of each of my favourites. They came quickly and were delicious. We shared a bowl of clam chowder and a warm lobster roll. They both did not disappoint. Being from the west coast, I tried lobster rolls and chowder in most of the stops on our cruise, and the Summer Shack was in the top 3 for both.

Visited for dinner on 10/06/24.
We had a great time on a Sunday night. We did not have a reservation but were accommodated immediately despite the restaurant being slightly busy (party of 2). Our server Ariana (hoping I spelled that right) was very upbeat and helpful in answering my crustacean-y questions. The prices were reasonable for the area and the food tasted great!
