Our lunch at Tikkaway was super filling and at a great price. It's like a simplified Chipotle but for Indian food and I loved it.The girl working behind the counter was unbelievably helpful and patient while we tried to decide what we wanted. She even let us sample the sauces we were interested in, which I didn't expect or ask for - she just offered!Like I said, meals are reasonably priced. You can have lamb as one of your meats for only a dollar extra!I had chicken and potatoes on basmati rice with masala sauce. I found it to be a bit sweeter than what I'm used to, but still tasty and very filling. I enjoyed the limeade, too.The place was absolutely spotless, the food was tasty, and the staff was incredible. I'd definitely visit again if I lived in Boston!

This place was temporarily closed but nobody updated their website. Lazy management

Honestly my favorite evening place. Prices are appropriate for the quality.

Super savory. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back. Prices were fair for the quality of the food. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I liked.

This place is no doubt one of the coolest restaurants in the area. Whenever I visit this place I am deeply happy. They always keep their very high level service and the topmost level of cooking they provide. You no doubt will love this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

Okay for "fast" Indian food, but workers don't seem to care to be there. I placed an order online on the website around 6:10pm which was to be ready at 6:23. I arrived later at 6:40 and the woman working said she never received the order, then she checks and finds it did come in. She rushed to compete it and forgot 1/3 of the meal. Food was just ok. Probably won't order from there again, better off getting the frozen section at Trader Joe's!

Had a “make your own” bowl. The basmati rice was hard and clearly had been around for a while. The flavors of the chicken and lamb were ok. Good but definitely not great. Probably what you would expect from a takeaway Indian place. Was a bit turned off by the worker standing out front smoking. Definitely not on my favorites list.

I just ordered a lamb salad bowl from your restaurant and I cannot stop thinking about how good it was. I just wanted to take a moment and thank you all for offering fantastic tasting and completely filling food at reasonable prices, which is a rarity in the seaport. You can typically have one but not the other. The dish was truly excellent, and I just wanted to say that your work is very appreciated.

I work nearby (pre-covid) and developed an addiction to Tikkaway. Before they opened, I definitely questioned how good a "chipotle-style" Indian joint could be, but it far exceeded my expectations. The dishes are delicious and I love that you can pick and choose your combos. Everyone knows me to be a very picky eater, and I almost never eat chicken that I don't make myself, but tikkaway's chicken is consistently great. The egg chettinad is to die for - I tried recreating the sauce myself and failed miserably. I even bought a catering dish of the egg chettinad to take home for Christmas because I thought it was so good. I love their paneer, chana, and rajma dishes as well, and the veggie sides. Brown rice / quinoa combo is also a great idea that I haven't seen before at a restaurant. As a South Indian in Boston where I personally find the quality of Indian food to be lacking, I am comforted by the food at Tikkaway. The dal reminds me of my mom's cooking. Also the mango lassi has the perfect combo of yogurt and sweetness that is hard to find here. The kheer is delicious. The samosas are always crispy and perfectly spiced, which is not always the case when you order from other Indian restaurants. And the tamarind sauce is the best I have had so far - it's thicker and not as watered down as others. Tikkaway is by far one of the best Indian restaurants around Boston even though it is not a traditional restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. Also the owners and the staff are great! I am praying that they are able to weather this awful covid storm and stay up and running because they've become a staple of my work life diet. A few asks, please bring back the beets and the green bean / carrot combo. They were delicious!!!

Tried this Tikkaway Grill in Seapory last night. Food was ok, if a bit on the plain side. What struck my was how little the staff who served me knew about the food. I know Indian and Chinese dishes get adapted when they travel to places like UK and US but at the very least, they ought to know what they're serving and be able to answer basic questions. Still, it was cheap and convenient.
